What's that noise? Where am I? Am I dead? Am I dead... That seemed to be the one phrase rippling through my head. Was I dead, or did I somehow make it? A loud creaking noise woke me am I slowly opened my eyes. All I saw was darkness, although I could feel something hard underneath me. It felt like wood. I lifted my hands in the cramped space that held me an felt around. Was this...was this a c..coffin? I pushed up on what I assumed to be the wooden door. It didn't budge. I pushed again this time harder an again it did not move. I smashed my hand against the wood as hard as I could an I heard the sound echo throughout the building I was in. Then I heard footsteps. They were faraway, but then they came closer and closer. Until they stopped right in front of me. I held my breathe wondering what was going to happen. It was silent for what felt like an eternity, then the coffin tipped over an fell. My head smacked against the wood an I groaned in pain. "Ow..." My voice was quiet an sounded weak. A heard some one chuckle then the coffin door opened suddenly, than bright light engulfed the darkness. Someone grabbed my arm an pulled me sharply out of the coffin. I stumbled an fell to the floor a held my hands up to shield my eyes from the blinding light. My vision cleared an I lowered my hands. I looked around but I didn't see anyone in the room with me. I frowned an sat up slowly, then I heard someone clear their throat behind me. I looked down at my side, my sword was still there. I took hold of it an spun around quickly. The blade was aimed at the man's throat an he held up his hands. His face was in shadow an I couldn't make out his face. Then he laughed softly, then it got louder an louder. He stepped forward into the light an I dropped my blade in shock. "A..alu...alucard?" He smiled, "Took you a minute didn't it?" He chuckled. "Did...did I..." "Die?" His smile widened, "Yes. You are no longer to be considered alive." My blade feel to the floor with a loud clang. I shoved my fingers in my hair an I turned away trying to comprehend what had happened to me. "Alic?" Alucard's voice sounded almost worried. I brought my hands in front of me an looked at them. A black mist appeared around my hands, they danced on my skin like flames in a fire. My eyes widened, my  an my heart beat raced faster. "What's happening? Alucard?" I felt the fear grip at me as I started at my hands in terror. "Don't fear the darkness. You can command it now." The mist grew an spread out in the room. It surrounded me an I stared at it, and it stared back. Thousands of pairs of eyes stared back at me along with a thousand doubling mouths their saliva falling to the floor in huge drops an disintegrated as they touched the floor. My heart beat so fast I could barely tell it was still in my chest. I fell to my knees an it sprang at me. I screamed an covered my head as it swirled around me. Suddenly I felt Alucard's arms around me. The mist disappeared as soon as he touched me. My eyes watered, ready to spill its tears like rain falling from the sky. "You can't be afraid of it anymore. You can't be an angel you can only be a demon now. It's the way it is now." I trembled in fear, the tears about ready to fall. "W..why does it have to be so terrifying? Why?" I heard him sigh an he shook his head, "I don't know. I was born with this power so in use to it. But for others who are made vampires sometimes it's more difficult for them to comprehend what the are seeing." I shivered, "No shit..." He smiled an pulled me to my feet. He wrapped one arm around me an held me close as we walked out of his lair. I stared at the floor in a daze, my feet shuffling as I stumbled forward. When we walked out the others were standing outside with worry written all over their faces. "Oh thank god, I thought we'd lost him for a second." I heard everyone sigh in relief. My hair fell over my face an a small smirk played on my lips, then I began to laugh. Quietly at first, then it grew louder. "You thought I wouldn't come back? Hehehahahaha!" My laughter grew an I grabbed my sides in pain. "I smiled up at Alucard, "I think I finally understand your humor now, dad." He smiled back down at me, "I told you that you would one day didn't I?" I chuckled, an I saw Integra smiling at me slightly. "What? Excited to see me Ms. Integra, or should I say..." I stepped closer an smirked, "...master?" I bowed sarcastically an came back up smiling like an idiot. Her smile grew, "Very happy to see you." I chuckled, "Tsk. What got another job for me already? I barely trust got back an UR already shoving work on me." I placed a hand on my hip. "You could say that." She cocked her head to the side, "Well it's gonna have to wait cause I ain't goin no where smelling, or looking like this. I walked past her an up the stairs, I turned back an smiled. "I could wake the dead with how I smell." She laughed, "No kidding." I chuckled an continued walking up the stairs a turned the corner. A giant black ball of fur ran straight into me an I yelled. Everyone came running down the hall to see what had happened. "God damn it Demon!" Demon barked from where he sat on my stomach, more like the whole bottom half of my body, an wagged his tail at me. I sighed an smiled at him, "You missed me didn't you?" Demon laid his big head on my chest an I chuckled. I reached up an pet him on the nose, "Silly dog." I saw Alucard staring at me in the corners of my eyes, I couldn't tell if he was mad or confused. I pushed Demon off me an sat up, "Come boy I gotta go take a shower." I stood up an Demon ran up next to me. I smiled down at him a held onto his collar the whole time we walked. As soon as I opened the door to my room Demon jumped up onto the bed an laid their with his tail slicing the air happily. I started to take my clothes off when I got this feeling like I was being watched. I turned around, no one was there. I looked everywhere in my room, no one was there. I shrugged an continued to take off my clothes, probably just me not being used to being dead. I turned on the shower an stood there for a moment with a towel wrapped around my hips. I peeked out the bathroom door, still no one was there just Demon wagging his tail at me. I took the towel off an stepped into the warm water. Midway through washing my hair I heard a noise. I poked my head out still no one there. I furrowed my brow, why the heck am I so jumpy it probably nothing. I quickly finished washing out my hair an just when I was about to turn the water off a shadow appeared on the walls of the shower. I turned an say the outline of Alucard, I sighed an opened the door to poke my was out. "What? Where you the one peeking at me the whole time?" He didn't show his usual psychotic smile, he seemed to glare at me but not at a way of being angry if that's possible. I grew silent an the air around us felt uncomfortable I grabbed my towel an was about to close the shower door again to dry off but he place his foot in the door so that I couldn't close it fully. I rolled my eyes an kept it that way, but I still kept my guard up. Something was off with him, there had to be something troubling him cause he normally doesn't act like this. I opened the door again an stared at him. He had hardly moved in the short time it took me to dry myself. I crossed my arms an sighed, "What on earth could possibly be bugging you of all people?" He cocked his head to the side much like a dog would. "Why do you fight with yourself?" I raised an eyebrow confused, "Huh?" He pointed at the center of my chest, "Your fighting over what side to choose. Whether to accept that your now a demon, or resist an destroy yourself from the inside trying to still be an angel of God." My body relaxed. He was correct, I was having a difficult time trying to decide to leave Gods path an follow this one. "Don't you find it hard?" I stared at the floor an hugged myself from the chill of the morning air. He looked down at me curiously, "I was never born to believe in a God so it's easier for me to deal with this life. But when I was still human I did believe in a 'God' or all mighty being if you may. Why do you think I still carry a cross around?" He held up a small silver cross between his fingers. I stared at it then quickly looked back down at the ground. "Well it's a lot more difficult because you could kinda say I've been 'forced' to go to church EVERY Sunday." He chuckled, "Then think of it this way, why not see yourself as a demon of God?" I looked up an thought for a moment, "I guess I could do that." He smiled that smile again. I smirked, "Now can you move so I can go get dressed instead of standing before you with nothing but a towel around my waist." He laughed, "Nah, just thought I'd enjoy the view." I chuckled an pushed past him, "Pervert." As I walked over to my dresser I could feel myself becoming to accept this new power. I looked in the mirror that was attached to my Dresser an I saw two different versions of me. The me that follows God, an the new me. The demon me. It looked at me curiously wondering if I was going to accept it or not. The demon me was terrifying to look at, my skin was pearly white almost sick looking. My hair looks like a birds nest, my hair stood up in different places an it looked like straw. My fingernails were cracked an dirty, my mouth dripping blood trailing a stream of blood down my chin, my teeth were yellowed an rotten. My eyes were as red  as blood an had bags under them. I swear I was gonna puke looking at myself, but I reminded myself not to be afraid that I had to accept it. I reached my hand out an touched the glass where he stood. He smiled evilly an my whole body grew weak. My legs gave out from under me and I fell to the floor. I was no longer in my room but in a room full of darkness an shadows. He stood before me silent like death. I looked at him completely un-afraid of him anymore. He held his hand out for me to take, he looked almost sad in away like he was praying that I would take his hand. I stepped forward an shoved his hand away then before he could retaliate I embraced him. I knew what it was like to be alone an I didn't want him to be alone any longer. He seemed to hesitate, "I won't leave you alone anymore." My grip tightened around him. I felt his hands wrap around me an I felt tears fall on my shoulder. Suddenly it grew brighter an I opened my eyes. I was back in my room laying on the floor with Alucard looking down at me. I smirked up at him, "Party's over time for the Demon of God to get dressed."
