The gems of power

Chapter 11: A hero reborn

        As I walked in the rain I didn't notice how far I had walked and I didn't care. "How could I have been so stupid, of course Tina and Sarah are still a team, I'm such an idiot". There were many strikers of lightning , but I didn't notice, I didn't care. I was still talking to myself, when I seen someone coming.

"What are you doing, why are you walking in the rain" the boy asked. "Oh just walking in the rain because I'm mad at myself for letting my sister get my gem. Now she can take over the world, I'm no use because I'm a red fox. And oh ya it's my birthday tomorrow so just a regular Friday" I said thinking he couldn't hear me. "I should have listened to my mom, all the weirdos come out on Friday night" he said starting to walk away. "Wait you can hear me, you're not a gem are you"I asked confused.

     
             "Ya I can hear you, why are you walking on all fours, and what's a gem" he asked as he tried to hang on to his umbrella as a giant wind started to blow it away. I looked down to see my hands, and I started to stand up. "What how did I do this without my gem, how interesting".  "Ya, oh no my umbrella, I can't loose it" the boy said reaching for his umbrella as his wind blew away.

      
           With a movement of my hand the umbrella came back to his hands. "H-h-how did you do that" he asked scared that his umbrella came back. "Ah it was just the wind ( not a lie) " I said started to run away. "Hey my name's Comet, what's yours" Comet yelled to me as I was running. "It's Astrid" I yelled back, I don't know why I yelled back, I just felt like I needed to. I was heading for the rock, I didn't know how I changed back but I was going to find out.

When I got to the rock, I had to make sure I did still have my powers, so I tried to turn myself invisible so no one would see me. After awhile I seen a giant flash of lightning, and then I couldn't see myself anymore. Since I didn't have my gem, I just touched the rock with my hand, and it opened.

When it opened I was shocked, but that didn't matter, what mattered was getting to the gems. I started to run down the stairs as fast as I could, and as soon as I stated I started to see light. When got close to the bottom steps , I started to slow down just in case of you know who was down there.

           I walked slowly around the corner, to see the gems and Tina sitting there alone, so I walked all the way in. "This is just great Sarah has all of our gems and Astrid's too, what do we do now" Tina asked frightened . "Hope, just hope that Astrid's ok and safe" Andrea said hopefully.

        "Guys I'm fine" I said forgetting that I was invisible. "What, Astrid where are you " Windy asked surprised. "Oh sorry forgot" I said as I begin to become visible again. "How did you do that, you don't have your gem anymore" Sunny asked scared. "I don't know, I thought you would know, that's why I came here". "I have a theory, but it's a little far fetched" Luna said. "What is it Luna " I asked interested.

"Well I think that the world needs you, it's your time Astrid" Luna said. "It's my time, it's my time, it's my time and I'm not really" I said as I started to run up the stairs. As I ran fast up the stairs I could hear some of the gems yell after me but I just shook it off.

When I got out the door I seen that the it was still raining, but I also seen trees had fallen down and things broken. I knew my sister came through here and I knew that she was even more powerful than ever. I was really worried, and my worries were confirmed when I heard my sister yell. "Hello towns people I am Sarah, and you will do what I say or else" my sister said.

I looked up, and I seen my sister floating above town square, with the whole town below her. "What do you want with us" screamed a voice from below Sarah. "I want to rule you" Sarah said strangely happy. With a movement of her hand, Sarah made lighting strike and thunder crash. All the people cowered and Sarah just laughed at them. Sarah just keep laughing and I started to run to the center of town, to try and stop her.

When I go to the center of town I looked up at Sarah and started to scream at her. "Sarah stop this, or else I'll have to do something" I yelled at her. "Oh little to late, little sister you don't have your gem I do, so what are you going do about that" she laughed at me. "This" I said as I started to float in the air. "How ever you're doing that, you still can't defeat me" Sarah said.

   
        I didn't care what Sarah said,I floated to her leave, and my eyes changed to light, like the sun. At that time, I knew this was my destiny, and I knew I was ready no matter what happened next.
