"What's that on your lip?"

Never have I ever been as scared as I am now.

You know that feeling where you're about to get on a big, new roller coaster and you're really scared and nervous?

That's my feelings now.

I am so scared for what is about to happen. Dad just found out about my lip.

My makeup must have washed off in the water! I wonder if he noticed it earlier than now.

"Evelyn." I heard him say. I looked down at him.

"What?" I asked, trying to play innocent. He raised an eyebrow at me.

"What's on your lip?" Dad asked again. He was quite calm for my liking.

"What do you mean?" I asked, acting like I have no clue what he's talking about.

"Evelyn, don't play dumb right now." He said. "What's on your lip?"

"Oh, you mean this?" I asked, putting my finger on my 'hickey'.

I don't like calling it that.

"Yes. What would that be?" He asked.

Everybody was focused on me now. And I faintly saw Uncle Niall smirking from the corner of my eye.

"I bit my lip earlier. It hurts." I said, touching my lip.

"Bullshit. Now what really happened?" Uncle Zayn asked, coming into the conversation.

"I bit my lip?" I said, making it sound more like a question.

I furrowed my eyebrows and looked at them.

I scooted back, and took a seat on the coffee table edge. Still facing Dad of course.

"Love, we still don't believe you." Uncle Louis said.

Do they all have to join in now?

"I don't see why not." I said.

"Who did it?" Dad asked. I looked at him funny.

"What happened to 'what is that?'." I asked. He chuckled.

"Who. As in who were you kissing to get that?" Dad asked.

"Nobody! You know that I bite my lip when I'm nervous!" I said, raising my voice a little.

"Okay? And? I know you did not do that." He said.

"But I did!" I yelled, standing up.

"Do not yell at me!" He yelled, standing up to look at me.

"Then why won't you believe that I did this?!" I asked. He just looked at me.

"How do you expect me to believe you? Who was it?" Dad asked.

"No-"

"Was it Jack?" He asked.

"What? No!" I said.

"I'll kill him." Dad said, heading towards the door.
