"Uncle Harry!" I yelled, running towards him and hugging him tight.
"Why would you do this, pumpkin?" He asked, squeezing me tight.
"I regret it so much. I was gonna come home Monday." I told him with tears rushing out of my eyes.
"Even if that. Babe, we love you to death." He said.
"Can you take me home?" I asked. He nodded, kissing my forehead.
"Of course. Let's go." He said. I held him hand as we walked down the stairs, and towards Aunt Gemma.
"Thank you for letting me stay." I said, giving her a hug.
"No problem, sweetie." She said. Uncle Harry came and gave her a hug also.
"Thank you for calling me." He whispered to her. I still heard him though.
"Love you guys." She said, pulling away. We opened the door, and made our way to the car.
"Love you too." We said, giving her a smile.
We got into the car, and started our way home. The radio was quietly playing in the background, and Uncle Harry had his eyes focused on the road.
"Evelyn... I don't get why you would do such a thing. Do you know how worried we were about you?" He asked, looking at me for a split second.
"I know. I regret it a lot. But can we please not talk about it right now. I already know that I'll be in trouble when we get home." I said, putting my head against the window.
"I know, love. But just know that we will always love you." He said, patting my knee.
I nodded, and started to drift off.
***
"Love, get up. We're home." Uncle Harry said, shaking me a little bit.
I sighed, but got out of the car. Uncle Harry locked it, and made his way to unlock the front door.
"Did you have any luck?" I heard Dad ask.
I slowly emerged from behind Uncle Harry, and looked down at my feet.
Suddenly, I was tackled in a hug by four people. I hugged them back, and started crying for the 17th time today.
"I-I'm so sorry." I said. Everybody let go of the hug, and I just stayed latched onto Dads waist.
"I was so worried about you." Dad said, kissing my cheek. I hugged him harder.
"I know. I regret it so much Dad." I mumbled into his shirt.
"Why would you do that?" He asked, letting go of the hug. We all walked in the living room, and I sat on the couch with them standing in front of me.
"I don't know. I was feeling left out and as if you guys didn't love me anymore because of the whole Jack thing." I said, playing with my fingers.
"The whole Jack think did make us upset, but we will never love you any less." Uncle Zayn said.
"But the whole Jack thing is another story. You ran away." Dad said. I could hear the sadness being taken over by anger.
"I kno-"
"Do you understand how worried, and sick we were?!" He yelled. I hate this.
"Yes, bu-"
"I am so disappointed in you, Evelyn. Running away off to, God knows where, is unacceptable. If you're feeling that way, you need to come and tell us." Dad said.
"But then I'd feel like an idiot. And you guys would think that too." I told them.
"Honey, we would never think that. If you ever feel like this, or feel like anything, please come to us." Uncle Louis said.
"Where did you even go? How did Harry find you?" Dad asked.
"I went to Holmes Chapel, and I guess Aunt Gemma called him." I told them.
"I'm just happy you're okay." Dad said, sighing.
"Am I in trouble?" I asked in a quiet voice.
"Oh yeah." Dad said, nodding his head.
"How much?" I asked.
"A lot. What in the hell were you thinking?! Did you think you could get away with this?! Did you think that you'd come back and everything would be rainbows and butterflies?! Well it's not. Evelyn, you are a very smart girl. But this is the stupidest thing you have ever done! Why didn't you stop and think?! Or at least come to us and talk to us about it?!" Dad yelled.
"I'm sorry." I said, wiping a tear that just fell.
"I'm going to tell you one thing right now. You will not see the outside world for the next month without one of us. You will not see your phone or electronics for the next month either. You're lucky I didn't make it two months. Whenever you go to school, all of your teachers will be looking over you, and your last period teacher will walk you to Harry everyday after school." Dad said. My jaw dropped.
"That's not fair! How long will that go on?" I whined.
"Until I can find it in me to trust that you will never pull a stunt like that again. And don't even start about it being unfair. I could sit in class with you all day for the next month also, but I'm only going to do that for a week." He said, mumbling the last part.
"Wait.. You're going to stay in class with me for a whole week?!" I yelled.
"You weren't supposed to know that till Monday, but yes. And you are not going to complain." He said.
Is he even aloud to do that?!
"Whatever." I said, standing up and about to head to my room.
"And where do you think you're going?" Dad asked.
"To my room." I said, walking up the first few stairs.
"Nope. You're going to stay with one of us. No going to your room unless we go to." Dad said, grabbing my arm and pulling me to the couch.
"This is so stupid." I said.
"It's all part of the punishment that you walked yourself into." Dad said.
I ignored him and watched the Telly.
"Hate this." I said.
"It's gonna be one hell of a month for you." Dad said, chuckling.
I don't find this funny.
