When the day was over, I walked to Uncle Harry's office with the flowers in my hand.

He came out, locked his door, and turned to be met with me and flowers.

"Awe, it's so sweet that you got me flowers." Uncle Harry said, grinning at me.

I laughed and shook my head, standing up.

"No, no. These are mine." I said, smiling wide at him. He furrowed his eyebrows.

"Who gave them to you?" He asked as we started to walk out to the car.

"Jack asked me to homecoming." I said from the other side of the car. We got in, and he looked at me.

"What'd you say? I didn't hear." He asked, starting the car.

"I'll tell you when we get home so I can tell everybody else." I said. He nodded and started to drive home.

I got out of the car and went into the house once we arrived. I took off my jacket, and went to the kitchen with my flowers.

"Whatcha got there?" Uncle Niall asked from where he was making a sandwich.

I looked around and made sure that there wasn't anybody else in the room.

"Jack asked me to homecoming." I whispered. His eyes widened, and he started to smile.

"He did?!" He yelled. I nodded and smiled back.

"Who did what? And whose flowers are those?" Dad asked, walking in to the room.

"I'll tell you all in the living room." I said, putting the flowers in a vase full of water.

I walked to the living room and sat on the couch with Uncle Niall following after.

"So?" Uncle Harry asked.

"Jack asked me to homecoming." I said, holding my breath to see their reaction.

It was quiet. And that's never a good sign. I looked around and all of their jaws were open a bit.

"Did you guys hear her? He asked her!" Uncle Niall said, smiling widely,

"When do you think we could go dress shopping?" I asked. Dad shook his head.

"You're not going." He said. I gaped at him.

"What?! I have to go!" I yelled.

"No you don't. And you won't." He said, shaking his head.

"And why not?" I asked, crossing my arms over my chest.

"Because you lied to me about dating him, and I still don't approve of you two dating." Dad said.

"I'm going, Dad. I already said yes." I told him. He narrowed his eyes, and chuckled a bit.

"You need to stop acting like you can do what you want. I'm the adult, and I am your father. You will do as I say." Dad said.

"No. You're making a big deal out of this! If I want to go to homecoming, what's the big deal?!" I asked.

"The big deal is that you're wanting to go with the boy I told you you couldn't date, and the boy you lied about dating." He said. I rolled my eyes.

"You wanna roll your eyes again?" Uncle Louis asked from across the room to the other couch.

I pursed my lips and looked down.
