Chapter Eleven: Getting Wet

"You got everything?" I yell to Miles as he loads a chair into the back of his jeep.

"I got everything but the cooler."

"I'll go get it!" I race back inside to get the last item we need before heading off. Luckily today is a rare day in the fall where it'll actually be warm enough to swim.

I grab the cooler and run back outside. "Here!" I hand it to Miles who tosses it into the back. "Now we just have to wait on Aiden and Wes. Where could those two be?"

"Wes don't worry! You're going to look unjust fine without your shirt on!"

There they are.

"No, you are not chubby! You are like a pole!"

Wes responded too quietly for us to hear.

The two boys join Miles and me by the car. Wes is staring at his feet with a much too big t-shirt on him, making him look three sizes bigger than he actually is. Aiden On the hand is wearing skin tight everything. Guess he's trying to show off for Miles. It's working because Miles can't seem to take his eyes off the shorter boy.

So cute.

"You guys ready?" I ask them. I told Caleb to meet us in the parking lot of the frozen yogurt place. That's where Amanda and Kat will be too. From there we'll make the hour journey to the river. So far all the guys are spending the night. I'm still not sure about the girls though.

"I'm ready!" Aiden grins. He has a backpack around his back, Wes does as well.

"Is that My Little Pony?" I ask Aiden, eyeing his pink and purple backpack.

"Yes."

Knowing Aiden, I don't question further.

Miles takes both backpacks and loads them into the car. Afterwards we all pile in the car and take off towards the frozen yogurt shop. After a good five minutes we make it. Caleb and Zach are already waiting for us.

"Hey Caleb!" I grin at him through the open window.

Caleb's cheeks go red and he opens his mouth to speak, however a loud booming of rock music stops him.

"Amanda is here." Miles chuckles.

"Yay! We get some pretty ladies to join us~" Aiden giggles to himself.

I grumble, really wanting to hear what Caleb was going to say. I guess it can wait though. We gotta get going if we want to make it by lunch.

"Hey Miles you think I should ride with someone else? Just so they don't get lost?" The only reason I'm offering this is that I can possibly go ride with Caleb...and Zach.

"It might be best. Didn't Amanda grow up around here? She should know how to get to the river. Ride with Caleb and what's his face."

Perfect.

"Alright! Enjoy your trip!"

"Oh I will." I smirk, knowing the journey ahead of me will be quite interesting. How could it not?

I get out and walk over to Caleb who's in the passenger's seat. Zach is driving.

"What are you doing?" Caleb asks, eying me.

"I'm going to ride with you so you guys don't get lost." I wink at him. To my surprise, Caleb blushes.

"Oh, well come on."
