They went back into their hotel room after fighting off a zombie-like creature. Mark was pacing up and down the room, thinking of the next plan of action. Felix and Sean were trying to look up information about what they had seen, but to no avail.
"There's literally no service here!" Felix complained. "It's only been a day since this whole thing happened."
"Maybe they had to shut the wifi and everything down as they were evacuating everybody." Wade assumed.
"Where would we find a switch for that, here?" Sean asked.
"Its usually down in the basement or something." Bob answered.
"Of course it is..." Felix mumbled. "And me being a video game genius I would assume that just like any other zombie game, there are most likely zombies in the basement!"
"Here..." Mark said, handing Felix a gun. "Take this."
"Are you seriously making me go down there just to turn wifi on?" Felix asked.
"Well if you want research to find out what these zombie things are, and if you're assuming there's zombies in the basement, then yeah, you are!" Mark explained.
"What if I run out of bullets?" Felix asked.
"I'll go with you." Sean chimed in. "We'll both go into the kitchen area, find some sharp objects to use as weapons and then we'll go down into the basement."
"Are you sure you wanna do this?" Felix asked.
"Yeah, I wanna fight some badass zombies!" Sean admitted.
"Please be careful out there!" Marzia said.
"We will... I promise!" Felix told her.The two of them then headed out of their room and went to the first floor where the kitchen area was. There, they were able to find huge kitchen knives used for chopping big foods.
"I have never seen a knife this big before!" Sean said.
"Then that can be your weapon to chop the zombies heads' off!" Felix said. "I just grabbed a few knifes to stab them in the neck with."
"You ready to go?" Sean asked.
"As ready as I'll ever be..." Felix replied. They left the kitchen area and followed the signs that lead down into the basement. They went down the many flights of stairs before finally reaching the basement area. It was dark enough to totally creep them out, but there was some light where they could see.
"Okay, we gotta find the power source in here that turns on the wifi." Felix said.
"You would think it would be with the regular electricity in this building." Sean said.
"I know, right?" Felix chuckled. They looked around, trying to find any signs of a power source. As soon as they reached the farthest they could in the basement, Sean eventually found it behind a pile of boxes.
"I found it!" Sean told Felix.
Sean opened the power box, noticing all but one switch turned on. Sean flicked that switch on. Felix looked at his phone and smiled.
"Jackpot!" Felix cheered.
"Okay, now let's get--" Sean began to say.Just then, he was interrupted by a low moaning sound, it stopped the guys dead in their tracks.
"Outta here..." Sean slowly mumbled.
"What should we do?" Felix asked.
"I don't know!" Sean shrugged.Just then, they heard the low moaning sound again coming from behind them. They turned around, facing the dark hallway. At first, there was nothing, but then a zombie, the same kind they saw outside, charged right on top of them. It jumped right on top of Sean, which made him lose his big knife.
Just as the zombie looked like it was going to take a big chunk of his neck, Felix fired the gun and it hit the zombie straight in the head, killing it instantly. He went over and helped Sean up.
"Are you alright?" Felix asked.
"Yeah..." Sean said. "I just wanna get the hell outta here!"
"Me too, man!" Felix agreed.Sean grabbed his big, kitchen knife and they both sprinted out of the basement. They ran all the way from the basement to their hotel room, slamming the door behind them and breathing a sigh of relief.
"Are you okay? What happened?" Mark asked.
"Good news, there are zombies in this hotel, bad news, we got the wifi on!" Felix breathed.
"No, wait, switch that!" Sean corrected.
"There are zombies in this hotel?" Jackie asked. "How many?"
"So far we only fought one in the basement." Sean answered.
"That means there could be many others in and around here!" Mark explained. "Which means we all need something to protect ourselves with."
"No... I'm not going back down there!" Felix protested.
"You don't have to." Mark said. "Me, Wade and Bob will go look for some more weapons while the rest of you stay up here and find any info that you can about these zombie things."
"Will do!" Sean said, putting a thumb up.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa!" Lily immediately interrupted. "What about us girls? Are you assuming because we're the girls in the group that means we sit here and do nothing!"
"No, I just want you to be safe!" Mark explained.
"Well guess what, right now, it's a fight for survival, so we all have to be ready!" Lily exclaimed. "So I'm coming with you."The entire group looked at each other. Mark let out a deep breath and sighed. "Alright, you can come."
Lily smirked a smile. Her, Wade, Bob and Mark then headed out the door.
