The Changed Ones

Since the group was in Times Square, they decided to take a look around at some of the big shops that were there and look around. The group first decided to go into Forever 21 to look for some clothing.

"This feels kinda weird..." Dayna said. "Stealing clothes."
"Well, it's what we have to do at this point!" Lucy explained.
"I wish the waters worked, I could also use a good shower." Lily said.
"Don't we all?" Marzia agreed.

Mark, Sean, Bob, Felix and Malakai looked around in disappointment.

"These are all girls clothes!" Sean exclaimed.
"There are guys clothes up on the third floor!" Sae said.
"They're... Not really our type of style though." Bob confessed.
"You either get 'em or you don't!" Lucy explained. "This is the only clothing store we're going to!"

The guys rolled their eyes and made their way up to the third floor to look for men's clothing.

"What dorks!" Lucy said to herself.
"Can't blame them though..." Dayna said. "When I had to bring my brother here I was trying on clothes for over an hour."
"Two hours..." Lyndze explained. "And I was stuck with them as well."
"I don't see these clothes being 'zombie fighting' material though." Jackie said.
"We're gonna be fighting looking totally hot!" Lucy exclaimed.

The girls laughed. They continued to look for good clothing and they each put their clothes in a bag. About ten minutes later, the guys came down with totally different clothes on and some more clothes they took in their bags.

"Looking good guys!" Lily smiled.
"Thanks." Mark mumbled.

The group finally left the shop and went a few blocks, where they noticed the Toys R Us, abandoned and empty. They went inside, the place not even looking like it did when it was alive and filled with people.

"I never got a chance to ride the Ferris wheel here..." Felix said.
"Kinda sucks, doesn't it?" Lucy asked.

Suddenly, they heard a loud screeching sound coming from somewhere in the building. The group immediately grabbed their weapons and began looking around.

"There's 4 floors, three of us to a floor." Lucy explained. "Me, Lyndze and Dayna have the first floor, Jackie, Sean and Malakai have the second floor, Bob, Mark and Lily have the third floor and Felix, Marzia and Sae have the fourth floor, any questions? Good! Split up!"

The group then split up to the floors they were assigned.

Sean, Jackie and Malakai headed up to the second floor, where all the video games and devices were at. They began searching the floor when suddenly, Sean dropped to the floor.

"Sean!" Jackie exclaimed. "What happened?"
"I-I dunno..." Sean answered.
"Should we get help?" Malakai asked.
"No!" Sean immediately responded.

Jackie looked at Sean seriously.

"Sean... What's going on?" Jackie asked.

Sean looked at Jackie, sighed, and then pulled up his shirt, where an ugly gash on his side. It looked venomous.

"S-Sean..." Jackie panicked. "Where did you get this?"
"When I was in the basement at the hotel..." Sean explained.
"Y-You're infected!" Malakai stuttered. "You got bitten!"
"I didn't get bitten, I just got attacked!" Sean exclaimed.
"It doesn't matter!" Malakai explained. "Lucy said that if you get bitten or even got the smallest scratch from a zombie you'll become infected!"
"No!" Jackie said, beginning to get emotional.
"Please!" Sean begged. "Please don't tell anybody!"
"You're already beginning to feel sick!" Malakai said.
"I feel better now! Honest!" Sean assured them.

Jackie's heart was pounding out of her chest. Malakai looked at both of them, took a deep breath and sigh.

"Fine..." Malakai mumbled. "But when he gets very sick, I'm not going to be blamed for this!"

Sean and Jackie breathed a sigh of relief. Jackie helped Sean up.

"Are you sure you're okay?" She asked.
"I'm still talking and I'm still standing." Sean assured her.
"You know I'm going to lose you soon though..." Jackie choked.
"Don't think that way..." Sean demanded. "Not yet..."

Sean kissed her on the forehead and she embraced him tightly.

Suddenly, they heard yelling echoing from what sounded like the first floor. Then, a loud bang from a gunshot.

"I GOT IT!" They could hear Mark yell.

They immediately went downstairs and met up with Mark, who had indeed blown the head off of a zombie.

"This son of a bitch tried to sneak us out!" Lily breathed.
"Wow... I'm impressed." Lucy smirked.
"What?" Mark asked. "Did you really think I didn't have it in me?"
"Sorta..." Lucy admitted.

Mark scowled her.

"Is there a chance that maybe we could find some food now?" Felix asked. "I'm getting kinda hungry."
"Yeah." Lucy nodded. "Let's do it."

The group then left the Toys R Us and went across the street to get some food.
