The Changed Ones

Fifteen

The group headed West of the Times Square areas, where all of the musicals took place. They decided to go inside the Imperial Theatre to rest for the night.

"I dunno if I wanna rest here..." Malakai stated.
"It's either that or you rest outside and fight the zombies, your choice." Lucy sassed. She then faced everybody. "Alright, we gotta look for some blankets and maybe some pillows."
"How would we find that in here?" Felix asked.
"There could be blankets and pillows used as props for a musical." Lucy explained.
"And I heard some of the stars rested overnight in the backstage area sometimes." Mark butted in.
"Really?" Lucy asked.
"Yeah!" Mark nodded.
"Alright, then look for some things!" Lucy demanded.

The groups split up again to look around the stage and backstage area. Jackie, Mark and Lily managed to find several pillows and sheets lying on top of a board as part of a prop. Lucy, Dayna and Lyndze managed to find three sleeping bags and Felix, Marzia and Bob managed to find several bags of sheets inside of some broken lockers.

"This is amazing! We should be taking this stuff with us!" Marzia explained.
"Maybe we will, but only for a little while." Lucy explained.

She then handed out the blankets, sheets and sleeping bags to everybody. Mark's group decided to sleep on the stage while Lucy's group split up and took watch at every door.

"This isn't what I meant by being on Broadway..." Lily said.
"Hey, at least you're on an actual stage." Mark stated.
"Yeah, but not the way I want to be." Lily said.

Mark then gave her a kiss before they both went to bed. Jackie watched as they both kissed each other and then turned the other direction. Sadness crawling across her face as this was her first night without Sean. She has nobody to comfort her and protect her now. She felt as if everybody would leave her alone in the middle of the night, and a bunch of zombies would come and attack her.

Her mind began racing with the memory of having to shoot Sean and end his life. Tears began strolling down her cheeks, she began sobbing softly.

But she eventually fell asleep.

She opened her eyes. She looked around as she saw dead things everywhere. Dead trees, dead plants, even dead animals. Like something straight out of a horror movie. As she looked ahead of her, she could see a figure walking over towards her. As the figure approached her closer, her eyes widened.

It was Sean.

He was the exact same way he was after he had died. The bullet in his head, blood covering his face, and his clothes all messy and torn from before.

She began worrying as Sean began scowling at her.

"S-Sean... What's happening?" Jackie asked.
"Don't ask me that crap!" Sean immediately exclaimed. "You know what you did!"
"I-I had to! You were suffering... I-I'm sorry!" Jackie explained. "I-In my other, y-you were happy!"
"I am far from happy! I am in HELL!" Sean shouted.
"I-I'm sorry Sean!" Jackie cried.
"You think a simple apology is going to stop all of this?" Sean asked.
"You told me everything was going to be okay..." I said.
"That was before... Now look at me! I'm in a worst position than I was before!" Sean explained.
"Either way you would've died, Sean!" I yelled through the tears.

He didn't respond, he just gave me a mean look.

I then paced up and down the empty field.

"This is just a dream... This is just a nightmare! It's just an affect!" Jackie mumbled to herself.
"Just a nightmare, huh?" Sean asked.

Just then, he had her in a chokehold, Jackie was barely breathing.

"Did you know you could die in your sleep from a nightmare?" Sean asked.
"Sean... Let... Me... Go!" Jackie choked.
"Never! Not until you face the hell I'm facing!" Sean exclaimed.
"Please..." Jackie gasped.

Just then, she could hear a voice in her head calling her name. She knew it was from the real world she was in. Jackie closed her eyes tightly, trying to escape.

Jackie opened her eyes, gasping for air and tears strolling down her face. She sat up, looking around, noticing Marzia right next to her and Mark, Lily, Felix and Bob also by her side.

"Jackie... Jackie it's okay! It's just us!" Marzia explained.

Jackie immediately hugged Marzia, sobbing uncontrollably from the nightmare she experienced. Marzia comforted her.

"It was horrible..." Jackie sobbed. "Sean was trying to kill me!"
"It was just a bad dream, everything is okay now..." Marzia assured her.

Suddenly, the other group ran onto the stage.

"What's going on?" Lucy asked.
"Jackie had a nightmare..." Felix explained. "About Sean."

Lucy looked down at Jackie, she sighed.

"She's suffering affects from when she killed Sean..." Lucy explained. "It may take a while before she grows out of it."

Suddenly, the group heard glass breaking from the front entrance, followed by Sae and Malakai running onto the stage.

"GUYS! THERE ARE ZOMBIES!" Sae shouted.
"Well why the hell didn't you do anything?" Lucy asked.

Malakai and Sae looked at each other nervously before looking at Lucy. Finally, Malakai spoke.

"B-Because... One of them is Selena!"

Sorry for the long delay, I just decided to make way too many stories at once, which was kind of a stupid idea. But my main focus will be this story and another story for right now! So hopefully there will be more soon!
