Chapter 5: Prom Date Blues

Emily beamed at her best friends. "Girls we have One Direction's numbers, met so many cute guys, and have prom dress ideas. I call this a good vacation." Emily says, leaning back in the airplane seat she was now sitting on since they had boarded the plane on the way back to Kansas.

"Now we just need to get prom dates." Vinny sighed, sitting down, fretting over this again.

"We will find some dates Vinny, it'll be okay." Brooke told her, patting her arm.

"We can find dates. It'll be fine. In fact, we'll have fun even if we don't find dates!" Emily said and smiled at the two girls, wishing she could text Liam while they were in the air.

"Whatcha wanna do while we're in the air?" Brooke looks over at the two girls beside her.

"Sailor?" Emily asks Vinny, holding up her hands.

"Sure."

"A sailor went to sea sea sea to see what he could see see see, but all that he could see see see was the bottom of the deep blue sea sea sea." They chant and clap along, clapping one of each other's hands together, then returning for a single clap, but when they get to the three "sea"s they clap both their hands together with the others three times.

"Why is that your go to game when you're bored?" Brooke asks me.

"Cause it's fun!" Emily smiled. "Wanna play down by the banks?" She turned to Brooke and asked.

"Yeah." Brooke smiled as they sat as best in a circle they could without leaving their seats.

"Down by the banks of the hanky panky where the bullfrogs jump from bank to banky with oops ops oops and ops oik and a ribbit and a kerplop." They finished with smacking Brooke's hand so it was down to Vinny and Emily for the final win. When Emily finishes with the win, she smiles triumphantly.

Emily pulls out her laptop, and starts it up asking the flight attendant if wifi was free on the plane. When she responds yes, Emily pulls up YouTube and starts watching PJ, Pewds, Dan, and Jenna Marbles videos. She was laughing at the random names, Pewds would give the most random objects.

Vinny was looking over her shoulder, not being able to hear him, because Emily had her earbuds in since he swore alot and there were little kids around, and it was the policy of the airlines.

Quite a few hours later they finally land back in Kansas, semi-homesick, but not completely. They had alot of stuff to make up from school, considering they were gone four days. They were all going to make it up together and considering they had signed up for cushy classes all senior year, it wouldn't be too hard to get caught up.

"Hey, this was so worth it." She reminded Brooke and Vinny as they moaned at the giant amount of homework sitting on the counter.

"Sure, cause you guys got One Direction's numbers." Vinny pouted at the fact she didn't see Luke again after they left the park.

"It'll be okay Vin. I'm sure that you can find someone else." Emily rubs her back, but soon recieves a text from Liam, which draws her attention to her phone.

Liam: Hey.

Emily: Hi! How's London? Ugh I miss it already. :(

Liam: Well you'll have to come back soon then. ;)

Emily: Hey when are you coming to the states? :D

Liam: In a few weeks.

Emily: When are you coming to Kansas City?

Liam: April 20th why?

Emily: Well... I know it's stupid... but um.... Would you want to go to the prom with me?
