"Got a secret? Can you keep it? Well this one you'll save. Better lock it. In your pocket, taking this one to the grave." Emily was twirling in her sports bra and yoga pants. As soon as the song stopped, she walked over and took a drink. She slipped her phone out of her pocket and dialed the familiar numbers on her Galaxy S4.
"Vinny! Brooke! Summer!" Emily yelled into the phone. "You were supposed to be here to rehearse twenty minutes ago! I can't keep going over my solo, especially considering I pretty much have it perfect now." Emily hung up on them and sat down. She looked in the mirror and looked on the back of the CD, playing the next song she wanted to listen to.
"So it goes without saying, that I'm hooked on you. And by now I'm out of my mind, with this self-abuse." Emily sings along, not aware that she had an audience. She turns and noticed the eight people standing there. "OMC! How long have you been standing there?" She clutched her heart, breathing deeply.
"Long enough to know you're hooked on someone."
"No offense, but what are you guys doing here?" Emily looked confused as she took a drink.
"I think that was very offensive," Louis says, leaning into Niall. Emily stuck her toungue out at Louis and sat there, looking in the mirror.
"Sorry about my appearance. I've been rehearsing all morning, which some people were supposed to be doing with me. Ahem." Emily looks at Brooke, Vinny, and Summer, another girl from her dance class. To quote PLL, they're friendly, but not friends.
"Which one are we practicing first?"
"How about Gunpowder and Lead?" Summer suggests as Vinny looks at the track listing for the recital.
"Can't we start with something else? That's country." Vinny frowns and Emily pulls her up.
"Nope. Let's just get it over with." They popped in the CD and looked at the boys.
"This might not be the best, we are just rehearsing." Emily blushes, and they all got in formation.
"Pretend we have the cowboy hats." Emily says, shaking her arms and stretching her legs.
"Righty-O boss." Brooke stuck her toungue out, waiting for the song to start.
"County road 223, under my feet, Nothing on this wild rock, but little old me." Vinny looks at the rest of the girls, and smiles. As soon as they had finished dancing to the song about revenge, they grabbed some water and the boys were clapping.
"Emily?" Someone called from the hall. "You here?"
"Anthony?!" Emily squealed and embraces him in a hug. "I thought you weren't coming till Christmas!" She yells, letting go of the brown haired boy. "I haven't seen you in forever. Holy shit! You're tall!" She stands on her tip toes to mess up his hair.
"Guys! This is Anthony Padilla! You may know him from Smosh. Speaking of which where is your 'boyfriend'?" Emily asks putting air quotes around boyfriend.
"Well, Ian is actually back in California."
"Where are you staying? I'm sure my mom would wanna see you. So would my dad, oh and Precious and Theodore and Chase." Emily starts listing off her family members that would love to see him, also animals who are practically family members that would like to see him.
"Where is your darling fiancee?!" Emily smiled, and looked around. "Last time I saw her, she was going to be in last year's recital. Speaking of which. CONGRATULATIONS! I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU'RE FINALLY SETTLING DOWN." She starts smacking his arm repeatedly. "I haven't seen you in how long and you don't bother to call me first?" She yells and stops, laughing. "What do you say I hop in the shower and once I'm dressed we'll hit all the old haunts?"
