If Heavens gift brings Hell's rain,

Then I'd trade all my tomorrows for just one yesterday.

Rhoswyn POV

I never thought it would be very hard getting used to the world I got sent to, but it was proving itself harder by the the minute. There were so many things that I couldn't even imagine having to use, and so many things I couldn't do any more. I didn't have to collect my own wood, because no one here had to craft things. It was a huge change. I used to have to make everything myself, yet in this new world, people just went out and bought things from what they called a "Walmart."

Lazy, is what it was called. That was one of the few words that the two worlds/places had in common. I had to try and learn so many things in just one day that I found myself wanting to scream. According to Griffin, though, that was the easy part. That was what scared me the most, having to actually meet people. I know I wasn't very shy, but just the fact that I would have to talk to people from a completely different world scared me to death.

Josh, I found out that was his name, was really nice, and it surprised me. Where I came from, outsiders were basically treated like they were nothing. It was survival of the fittest, and those with the more riches were considered the fittest. In Josh's words, I came from a dog-eat-dog world. Whatever that meant.

The next day, Griffin showed up at Josh's house before the sun came up with some clothes. He had handed them to me, telling me to put them on. I gladly accepted them, getting dressed in the fine clothing. It was a lot softer than what I usually wore, I noticed. When I showed Griffin that I was wearing them, he smiled really big.

"You look amazing," Griffin said, still smiling impossibly large.

"Thanks," I said back, trying to hide the nervousness in my voice. To be honest, I was scared out of my mind.

"You'll be fine," apparently Josh had joined us.

"I know. I'm just nervous." I turned around and looked at Josh. His raven black hair was messy, telling me he had just woke up.

"Look, you just used a new word in a real life situation." Josh said to me, seeing my uncertainty and adding, "You'll do great. Besides, I make sure our schedules are the same. I won't leave your side at all, unless I have to use the bathroom, of course."

"Thanks. It means a lot, Josh." I beamed, giving him a hug.

"What about me? I gave you my sisters clothes. Do I get a hug?" Griffin said, faking a pout.

"Fine, but only because you'll have to deal with me for quite awhile." he smiled as I embraced him in a big hug.

There was something called a "bus" that came and brought us to this "school" Josh and Griffin were talking about. It was really big and a bright yellow. It looked big enough to crush someone's skull. It must've weighed enough to break obsidian. I would never find that out, though. When we got on the "bus," I noticed just how many people they had squeezed onto the thing.

Another thing I noticed was some people were whistling. I didn't know why, so I just kept walking. Also, some people were smacking their hands against Josh and Griffin's. I think they called it a high five. This world had so many weird ways of showing respect.

As Josh and Griffin sat down in one of the large, cramped seats, I noticed someone say my name. "Rhoswyn, you can sit with me. I doubt Hannah will care. Will you, Hannah?" I looked towards the voice, recognizing the face it belonged to. It was Ashley.
