I couldn't sleep. All these thoughts. That kiss. I was stressed, I already had enough school work to deal with, I had Leigha on my back, trying to make my life a living hell and now this. I couldn't take it anymore and I just let out a frustrating grunt.
Mom happened to be walking around to the rooms collecting the laundry, when she heard me. She placed the basket down, slowly approached my bed, proceeded to make herself comfortable, pulled my head onto her shoulder and then said, "Tell me all about it,".
I didn't know where to start, considering that I haven't spoken to mom about any personal stuff in a while. So I just let out everything, starting from what happened at the party up until now, but I had no worries mom always knew what to say, she would tell me what to do.
"Time will tell," was all she said, as she got up to exit my room.
'What, that's it!" shock plastered all over my face. "Mom you're supposed to tell me what to do!"
"Sweetie I can't tell you what to do, it's your choice, you need to choose who suits you, who will do right by your side, someone who tries to be honest with you, no matter how hard it is, the one who shows that he cares for you, even if that means losing you !" and then she left.
"So in other words you're trying to hint at Caleb!" I shouted; and though I know she heard me I knew she would never answer. But mom was right I needed to choose someone that's going to be there, you don't choose who you fall in love with and not all the time he's gonna be prince charming, but I could still hope right?...................................RIGHT?????
Ughhhh and here I was right back at square one. But what if I choose one and this ruins their friendship, I don't want to be the cause of that, what kind of a selfish person would I be. Then it's settled I won't choose, but then that might just make things even stickier than they are. Huh I'll just sleep on it.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>the next day>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
I woke up, got ready, and headed to school. I basically went through half of the day just blending in and trying not to pay attention to my brothers and my best friends, who were just overly mushy today. To be honest all was well until I saw Caleb and great, he just happened to be looking extra gorgeous-er than usual.
"Hey Spence," was all I heard before I got lost in his scent.
"Spence, are you okay?"
"Huh yes of course I am, why wouldn't I be?" I asked stupidly.
"No reason, can we walk and talk?" he responded calmly. I just nodded and walked along.
We were just talking and to be honest it was nice.......okay it was really great. He was honestly a great guy and any girl would be lucky to have him, but was I that girl? Did I deserve a guy like this? Considering that I couldn't make up my mind, I shouldn't have been putting anyone through that, But I was seriously starting to prefer Caleb, he was actually speaking to me, after last night Adam didn't even try and I was really disappointed about that.
We started walking onto the field and there we spotted Adam and Leigha, he looked over at us, then back at Leigha, he placed his arm around her, brought her towards his face and kissed her. RIGHT THERE, IN FRONT OF ME, ON PURPOSE. I guess he just answered all my questions.
"You don't need to see this," Caleb spoke up; and I shed not a tear.
I just felt the warmth of his hand embracing mine and I didn't even feel like pulling away. He just looked down at me and smiled and I did the same. Then and there I knew without a doubt that Caleb was my modern day, fairy tale, prince charming.
Sorry for such a late and short update. times are hard and writer's block is going around and it's contagious but I hope you enjoyed it anyways bye.......
