Part 6: Goodbye

maka pov

"where is this guy?" i ask mad.

"i dont know maka, where havent we looked?" soul says also mad

we were looking all over for this guy! we have been looking for three hours now! the keishin goes around looking for teenage girls. he takes them to a ally way and kills them and eats their soul. he looks like a normal man, and he isnt like most keishins, he kills them durnig the day. usually they do it at night. but this guy is hard to find. i dont even know what he looks like. all i know is he is a pervert and eats young girls souls. most of the time the girls he ate woud wear sluty outfits.

"hey maka, he eats teenager souls right?" soul asks me

"yeah all the time, why?"

"well i have an idea"

"what?" i ask kinda scared

"its not cool, but your a teen, and your a girl..." soul asks with a toothy grin

"NO SOUL! he only likes sluty girls!" i yell

"we can buy you an outfit! but its only for this one thing! you can throw it away or burn it afterwards i dont care"

"NO! and he wouldnt want me i am flat! you even said so!" i yell, i can feel my cheecks turn red.

"i was joking! and your not so flat chested anymore." souls says smoothly

i quickly cover my chest with my arms embarrassed. he laughs. i really dont want to do this! i cant i just... well its our only choice. i could pretend to be... like that, and soul could hide until he comes, then we could kill him. thats actually a good idea, besides the part i have to dress suty! nope not happening!!!!!

"damit soul!" i yell covering my body with my cloak. we bought me black knee high boots with a short cheetah print skirt and black crop-top, that shows off my... flat chest. well i kinda ha- nevermind that! my hair is curled and i have some makeup. i HATE this!!!!

"maka calm down! you can change later! lets just stick to the plan." soul says smiling a sharp tooth smile

"i can feel everyone staring at me" i whisper

"come on maka!" soul drags me next to a ally way."now maka walk by all the ally ways until he comes, got it?"

"yeah..." i answer quietly

"ok ill be around when you need me just call out to me" soul says before he runs into a ally way.

"ok maka lets go, its just this one time." i whisper

i walk for almost a half hour until i hear footsteps coming my way. heavy, slow, tired footsteps. that must be him. i turn to the ally way i hear them in. i hear them, louder, louder until he stops ten feet from me.

"you lost, lil' girl?"

"No" i answer

"sure your not, then why have you been walking around here for so long?"

"leave me alone" i hide my face and try to walk past him. then he throws me against the wall

"why dont you stay a little while?"

"NO!" i yell then he punches me in the stomach, and then licks my cheeck.

"i like you, im tried of the sluty ones, i know your not sluty. i saw you with your boyfriend, looks like he left you. to bad, i can tell you really like him dont you? dont worry your suffering will all be over, after im done playing."

"SOUL!" i cry out

soul jumps out of the near by window, his arm a sythe. he runs to the keishin and hits his arm. the keishin jumps back and then turns his arm into a gun. i grab souls hand and he turns into a sythe the rest of the way. i start to hit the keishin but he keeps dodging. i keep trying but my stomach hurts from when he punched me. we keep fighting, but i dont know what to do to get him off guard to hit him...... i know.

"soul change back"

"ARE YOU CRAZY?"

"i know what to do trust me"

"ok maka this better be good"

soul changes back and the man stops and looks at me confused. i walk up to him, leaving soul behind me. "i give up, i want to be yours" i say throwing my hands in the air.

"MAKA ARE YOU CRAZY?" soul yells

"no i want to be his, i dont like you anymore soul." i say looking at him, then he understands

"whatever maka do what you wish" soul says and turns around

"thats more like it!" the keishin turns to me and kisses me, and i just give in. and just then i turn my hand into a sythe, i dont know how i made it happen, ive tried before but i couldnt. i could only do it when i was unconsious. i hit him in the chest. his body hits the ground. i turn to soul who is smiling.

"can i change now?" i ask

"yeah lets go, gross maka you kissed him" he laughs

"shut up soul! i did what i had to!" i yell as we walk out the ally way.

"whatever, wait did we forget his soul?"

"oh yeah" we turn to go back to receive the soul but the man was standing. blood dripping down his legs onto the floor.

"DIE!" he yelled just before he shot soul, but before the bullet hit soul, i jumped infront of him. it hit my collar bone. i felt pain spread through my body. then the keishin dropped to the ground and his soul came out. that was the last thing i saw before i hit the ground unconsious. the last thing i heard was...

"MAKA!"

my eyes closed, i drifted away. i couldnt see anything or hear, or smell anything. all i felt was pain, and i tasted blood in my mouth. i couldnt breath. all i could think of was soul.... soul..... i love you! then, i couldnt feel anything or taste anything. my last thought was souls smile. before i stopped thinking altogether. and then.... nothing.
