Eight years later

"Darling! Wake up!" Her mother called, "it's almost time for school!"

"Ugh!" Sarah groaned from her room, "Another awful week of school! Worse, new school. Why again do we have to move so much?"

"Sarah!" Tasha yelled

"Coming mom! Let me wash up!" She responded

"If you aren't down here in the next five minutes, young lady, you will walk to school!"

"Alright I'm here" Sarah said as she came down the stairs, "all clean and ready to go"

"That's my girl. Now remember that this is your first day. I don't want no dilly-dallying with no boy okay. Remember the last boy? He broke your heart, didn't he?"

"Yes mom, you don't have to remind me"

"Listen to momma's word and your life will be fine"

"Yes mom" Sarah replied, rolling her eyes. This wasn't the first time she received this lecture. Every time she changed school, her mother reminded her to always listen to 'momma's word'

"Alright, off to school you go!" Tasha said as the school bus arrived, "Now I mightn't be able to make it so if you need anything, talk to the next person beside you"

"And if it's a boy?" Sarah asked, lifting an eyebrow

"Why you silly girl! I just said..."

"I know, no dilly-dallying"

"Good. Now off to school you go. Goodbye! Have a wonderful day"

"Bye mom! You too!" It wasn't too hard for Sarah to imagine her mom with a puffy gown from the nineteenth century. She laughed at the image formed in her mind

"Hey you! Come sit!" A girl with blonde hair and intense blue eyes called to her.

"Hi, I'm Jasmine. You must be new here"

"Hello Jasmine, I'm Sarah. How did you know I'm new?"

"Oh so polite, she'll lose that in a week!" Jasmine chuckled to herself. Then referring to Sarah, "I know everybody that rides the bus and you? I ain't seen you before"

"Oh! Okay, well it's very nice to meet you"

After a while of discussing with her new friend, they arrived at the school

"So um... would you like someone to help you with your papers or you can handle it yourself?"

"Oh I would love to have help. I hardly know my way around"

"It's settled then off we go"

"Thank you! Thank you so much"

The structure of the school was that of a typical high school. The first building was the administrative building and behind it were the cafeteria, gym and classrooms. The centre building was the biggest as it held the classrooms, laboratories, art rooms, teachers' lounge and others of the sort. To the left of it was the gym and on it's right was the cafeteria

"Alright, here is your schedule and a school map in case you get lost. Hey! We have three classes together!"

"That's great but, how do you have my schedule?" Sarah asked

"You weren't paying attention when the principal was handing it to you so he gave it to me"

"Alright, where is my locker so that I may keep my bag?"

"Why you're standing right in front of it! Wow! You get real easily distracted"

"Forgive me for my absentmindedness" Sarah blushed

"Alright, that's it! I won't have this anymore! You're too polite, too cultured! That's just wrong!"

"Forgive me. Staying in an all-girl boarding school that teaches etiquette for a year and half does have it's sides effects"

"Okay, I'll have to culture you to be uncultured later"

"Oh thank you!"

"First lesson, no 'thank you', just, 'thanks' got it? Now let's see... You have Geography now and I have Physics. Next class, Biology. We both have that so bye! Oh wait! Geography is that way. Beware of Mr. Crumps. Very grumpy"

"Thank you... I mean, thanks!"

"Good morning delinquents. Looks like we have a new fellow delinquent with us today" Mr. Crumps said, "Sarah Blue. Stand up and introduce yourself"

"Hi everyone. Like Mr. Crumps said, I am Sarah Blue and I am a new student"

"Ah ah ah ah ah" Mr. Crumps interrupted, "In my class, you are all delinquents. No one is a student"

"But sir..."

"Arguing with a teacher eh? Detention!" He said as he signed the slip and handed it over to her.

Sarah was too pissed to pay attention throughout the class so she sat, swelling in her anger. She knew she wasn't going to miss anything because she had read ahead

When the bell rang, Sarah packed her books, stuffed them in her backpack and headed off, with her head down to her locker to grab her biology books. On her way there, she walked into a wall of flesh and fell on her butt. Giggles were heard around.

"Oh my goodness I am so sorry. Are you alright?" An angelic male voice asked her. When she looked up into that face, she felt a magnetic pull from his eyes that made her wish she could just drown in them. His eyes were a very light blue that they were almost silver. At the edges of the irises were tiny flecks of light green, giving his eyes an eerie look

"Hello! Earth to girl on the floor!" She heard distantly

"Huh?" Was all she could say

"I said, I'm Dennis" he said as he helped her off the floor, "what's your name?"

"I'm... um... who am I?" She asked

"Sarah!" Jasmine yelled from somewhere behind her

"Yeah, I'm Sarah" she said

"Well Sarah, it was nice meeting you. Wanna hang out sometime?"

"Oh I'm sorry but I have to go! I have class right now!"

"You got that right sister" Jasmine said, directly behind her

"Hi Jasmine" Dennis sighed and rolled his eyes

"Well a hearty hello to you too Dennis. Goodbye" she said as she took Sarah hand and walked away

"You are so going to tell me what happened"
