Reformed Again

Corrupted

"Go!" Garnet shouted. The gems jumped high in the air as the cloud of dust screeched to a halt in front of them. It rose from the ground and stood on its hind legs.
BOOM!
Pearl sliced whatever was below her with her spear, as Amethyst gave an electric whip to its throat. And Garnet came down with a powerful punch. The monster crashed to the ground.
"Wow, that was easy," Amethyst said crossing her arms. The creature got up again and roared its response.
"Never mind."
The gems continued to give it all they had and failed to realize until they were quite beaten up, that this corrupted creature was made out of lava. And other dangerous, difficult substances.
" UGH!" Pearl cried, resting her hands on her knees.
"Why won't he die already?!"
Garnet punched the creature many times at once, just tiring herself out. Amethyst whipped her whip around messily and collapsed to the ground.
"Amethyst! Now is NOT the time for a nap!"yelled Pearl.
"Pearl, I can't get up," Amethyst managed. Pearl grumbled a few words under her breath and wrapped her arms around Amethyst. She helped her to her feet, with her arm over her shoulder.
POOF!
Garnet slid back and wiped her lip. The gem that was once corrupted lay in a small crater on the planet. She took in a huge breath and bubbled the gem, sending it back to the Temple. Pearl and Amethyst gave her a smile.
"You did it!" Amethyst cheered, still relying on Pearl.
"Well done, Garnet," Pearl congratulated.
Garnet sighed and made her way back to the ship Pearl built.
"Come on. Let's go."
Pearl and Amethyst gladly agreed. They walked over the craters and made it to the door. And then a huge rumble was heard. The gems were astounded.
"There's more?"
"Aww, come on!"
"Can't be."
Another trail of dust even larger than the one before dug its way through a large planet, jumped over a small planet, and landed with the biggest cloud of dust in front of the gems. The debris engulfed Pearl's ship. They shielded their eyes as the dust settled and looked up to see this creature was far uglier and bigger.
"This must be the momma," Amethyst stated. Garnet took the deepest breath and sighed. She cleared her throat.
"Come on gems. Let's do it!"
