Amethyst's surroundings were painfully radiant. She squinted her eyes as she looked around. A wave of fear washed over her when she realized Garnet and Pearl where no where to be found.
She didn't know how the ache in her body came to be, and where she was and how she got there was beyond her. All she knew, is that she was lost, and scared. A feeling that she had come to hate since her days at the Kindergarten.
The ache seemed to grow to a throbbing now, and she huddled in a ball, rocking back and forth, hoping the pain would go away and she could see her family again. Her wishes were not answered. But she heard a shrill cry that made her lavender skin crawl. The cry was accompanied by many other painful screams. She threw her arms around her head in false hope it would stop.
"Go away!" Amethyst pleaded mostly to herself. "Please!"
When her head was in the warmth of her body , she noticed her cracked gem.
"Aughhhh," she groaned. "Not again."
Amethyst caressed her gem as if she somehow had healing powers. "Ow."
An ear splitting eerie shriek interrupted her discovery. She threw her arms over her once again.
"Make it stop!" She yelled to no one in particular. And to her complete dismay... It kept going. Growing louder and louder and louder, until Amethyst herself screamed at the top of her lungs to try and silence it.
As soon as she stopped, her throat ached and there was a split silence. Sudden whispering soon overcame that silence and in her opinion... It was much more uncomfortable that the screaming. Cracking voices and pained whispers now filled the mysterious area she occupied. They were so distant, yet too close for her liking.
"Help," they breathed.
"Help usssssss."
"Purple......"
"Stone...."
"Purple stone...."
"Hellllllp ussssss!"
