'Hey, you coming?' My best friend asked me.
'Y-yeah, wait what? Where?' I pestered him with questions.
'Um, to first period.' He just chuckled.
'Oh, yeah. Sorry forgot about this.' I gestured to the hall we were in, I'm pretty sure I zoned out for a while. I have a habit of doing that.
We were walking to our geography class when my boyfriend slid his arm around my waist and greeted me with a peck on my cheek.
'Hey Cal.' I kissed his nose.
'Where were you last night? I tried calling.' He responded while walking me to my next lesson.
'Had to study, and was skyping Ash all night.' I huffed and sarcastically enthused where I talked about Ash.
He moved me away from Ashton jokily.
'Back off lover boy, she's mine.' He chuckled.
'Oh that's alright, I just hit it off with Steph last night, we went all the way to level 16 if you know what I mean.' Ashton wriggled his eyebrows at us.
'Gahhhh, that's way too much information Ash! Can't you just save it until you hang with the boys?' I joked, and laughed. Ashton's a nice guy and should get a girlfriend, he deserves the world.
We walked to mine and Ashton's class.
'See you at lunch?'
I nodded and kissed Calum quickly.
'Oh before I forget, you guys will be coming on Friday right?' Calum said before leaving.
'Coming to what?' Ashton replied confused.
'Party, it's gonna be sick, invite everyone yeah.' Calum said and walked to his class. 'See ya!'
Geography was boring; we had to explain cultures from different parts of the world. The only thing that kept me entertained was that Ashton started lobbing paper balls at our teacher, it was pretty funny until the part she downgraded us.
After geography both me and Ashton had math, there was no doubt that I was struggling so sir assigned me to a tutor, but I know for a fact I can cope with the work. He just carried on and insisted that I get one to 'improve my education'.
My tutor's name was Luke Hemmings; he is a pretty cool guy if you ask me: smoking body, top grades, good looking, coiffed blonde hair, tattoos, a lip piercing. I was told I had to study with him four times a week, I don't even see Calum four times a week voluntarily, but I'm not complaining.
Class went by in a flash and I'm already in Ashton's car waiting for him to give me a lift to my tutor's house as my math teacher said I should get to know the guy a little better.
The ride there took 30 minutes as it was kinda far from our school.
When I got out the car, I had to check if I got the right address because this place was massive and super high-class. This is not what you expect from a punk 17 year old kid in high school.
'Are you not going in then?' Ashton said as he got out the car.
'Yeah, just a second. You don't have to come aswell, I can walk home later Ash.' I smiled at him.
'Of course I'm not leaving you here alone, who knows what might happen. This guy could be bad news.' He reassured me.
'I'm sure he is absolutely fine Ash, don't worry.' I replied. 'I'll be fine.'
We walked together to his front door, I knocked the acceptable 3 times before the door opened and a 30 year old looking elegant woman looked at us. From the head to the toe. And smiled.
'You must be Adrienne, and who is this?' She said look at Ashton. 'Your boyfriend?'
I cried out laughing and Ashton remained silent.
'Yeah I'm Adrienne, this is Ashton. He is not my boyfriend, merely a best friend.' I looked at him and smiled. 'Is Luke in Mrs Hemmings?'
'At the moment no, he went out with his friends but he should be back soon. Come on in and I'll get you some drinks.' She opened the door fully to welcome both of us in and led us to the living room. 'I would prefer it if you just called me Liz dear, Mrs Hemmings sounds too formal.' She smiled at us while walking into the kitchen I presume.
I sat on the couch and gestured for Ashton to sit beside me.
'This place is huge, and his mom seems lovely!' I whispered to Ashton.
'Yeah it's pretty big.' He replied with no enthusiasm whatsoever.
'You alright Ash?' I asked him with concern.
'Tea or coffee?' Liz shouted from the kitchen.
'Coffee please, thank you.' I said and Ashton said the same.
'I'm fine thank you, I just feel a bit queasy.' He smiled at me and whenever he does this is reassures me.
'We can go home if you don't wanna be here?' I suggested.
'No! No, I'll be fine, really.' He insisted.
The door slammed wide open which made a massive noise. Luke.
'Young man you treat the property with respect you hear me?' Liz came in from the kitchen and scolded Luke who was still at the door. 'We have guests.'
'I can see that.' He replied coldly and slammed the door shut.
'Did you not just hear a word of what I just said?' She grew angrier yet her voice wasn't threatening.
'Yeah.' He replied and walked up the massive staircase presumably walking to his room.
Liz placed our coffee in front of us on the coffee table.
'We can meet some other time if that's best for you Liz, I don't want to cause any trouble.' I told her.
'No! Of course not, you're meeting Luke and that's final. He's always like this.' She insisted we'd stay.
Ashton still remained quiet, just the occasional sip from the coffee mug was all you got out of him.
After Liz went upstairs and physically dragged the poor boy downstairs, I finally had the chance to introduce myself.
'Adrienne, sir told me you were the best option to improve my grades' I held out my hand for him to shake.
'Luke, yeah cool.' He showed no interest in me at all, he didn't even touch my hand or even looked at me.
'Sorry to be a burden on you Luke, I'll just give you my number so we can talk about when you're free and-' I'm not the best at talking to people, I can barely talk to a waiter, let alone someone who doesn't care. I felt my eyes water slightly and I'm not making this into some dramatic shit so I decided to just leave. I grabbed my bag and left the house and went into Ashton's car.
'Hey, you better watch it alright? Adrienne over there is one sensitive girl, so you better keep your mouth shut.' Ashton warned him and said goodbye and apologised to Liz.
He walked out the door, closed the door and went into the car. We sat there in silence for a bit until he asked me if I was okay and helped me feel a bit better. He knows how to do this. He keeps me calm. Calum never did this, he always felt as if I was just not trying but it's not like I could blame him. I know I get annoying quite a lot.

I'm honestly so excited for this, I had a pretty fun time writing this and I will only carry on if someone actually likes it because this is a pretty long chapter.
