*Chris's POV*

I set Astrid down as her mom approached. She didn't recognize her and she looked like she wanted to kill me. Same with Astrid, minus the wanting to kill me part. I don't think she could. Even if she really tried. She gave her up cause when I met them when Astrid was 5, I explained to them what she was. I knew as soon as I saw that little girl standing at the top of the stairs looking threw the railing I knew who she was. They understood, surprisingly enough, vampires ran in their family lineage. On both sides too infact.

As soon as she got closer Astrid was about to cry. I pulled her closer before she tackled her mother to the ground. "Go get her baby." I let her go and she ran to her mom. She's never seen her mom not even a picture of her in 21 years. And this moment is why. This moment right here is why I kept everything from her for so long.

"Mommy!" She jumped in her arms crying. Her dad walked over to me and smiled. But the smile wasn't meant to be taken lightly. It was filled with sadness. A sadden smile was all I received when I saw them. The day I met them. The day I told them about what Astrid meant to me. The day they gave her up so I could be the one to protect her for the people who wanted her to die because of what she meant to me. Kylie then got out of the car she was in with Sally. They looked like they were sleeping. Devin got out of the car we arrived in. He passed out same as me. As soon as Kylie saw him she smiled too, but this one was a happy smile. A happy cheerful smile to see the one she loves. Devin looked relieved and happy as well to see both of them.

"DADDY!" Sally ran into Devin's embrace knocking him over. For a 6 year old little girl she's quite strong. Kylie walked over and was pulled down to him. They just laid there holding each other. "I love you daddy." I wish I could have that right now. But my little girl is gone. Oh God she's gone...

"I love you too. You're not going anywhere without me ever again." I turned my attention back to Astrid's dad.

"I don't know how she died if that's what you wanna know." Tears started to threaten to spill. "I-I-I wasn't there."

"I know. I know you don't know what happened, but I do. Her neck was snapped. But before that happened she was almost drained dry by someone and then stabbed as well after that. Hardly any blood. I'm sorry for your loss Christopher." Did I mention that he has never once called me Chris. Not once and it irritates the shit out of me.

"Okay? How did you know she was mine? No one knew about her except for my coven." He couldn't have known even if it was Sally and not Willow he couldn't have known any of us had children. No one knew about either of them.

"I thought she was Devin's little girl at first till I actually saw her when the boys opened the lid up. She looks a lot like you. She had Astrid's eyes. She was 6 this year right?" Again how the fuck did he know he never even seen Sally or knew she existed until he came outside. Or either of their ages.

"Yeah... she turned 6 yesterday." The tears began to fall. The sky was getting dark so we all went inside. We weren't given a warm welcome though by the other coven members. Well this is strange. But nonetheless is just goes to further prove my suspicions. Astrid let go of her dad and clung to me like Willow use to when ever she was scared. Josh and Brandon went on the defensive side of things. With good reason to.

"What the hell is another coven doing here Teresa?" I motioned for Devin to get Sally out of the house just incase anything happened. Once he left Kylie held on to Josh. Which was surprising. On top of her having her entire coven there she also had another one. A not so friendly one either.

"Astrid? Can you come here please?" She hide behind me some more. Partly because I pushed her behind me. But that's besides the point here. "Chris let her go."

"No."

"Chris let her go. She won't get hurt." Do you think I should believe her? No you're right probably not.

"Like hell she will. I'm not letting her go, not after what the hell we just went through. I would rather die then let your daughter leave my side." Over half of the other coven stared in shock. I can get scary when I want. Call it a family trait of mine. Willow can do it too, well I guess now I should say she could. Astrid wrapped her arms around me, smiling. I couldn't help but smile back. "I love you."

"I love you to Chris."

"Oh fuck this shit! I'm outta here!" I looked over to see a teenager start leaving. The one that he was sitting next to laughing his ass off. "Fuck this lovey dovey twilight shit." I fucking hate that movie so much a mockery to the vampire race. I'm half tempted to order covens to find the idiots who wrote those damn books.

"You'll have to excuse my brother. He doesn't find it fair that we'll help every other coven that we can, but when his mates coven needed help we refused and she died. I'm sorry for your loss too by the way. Me and my brother are the only ones that are in this damn house." Just then the power went out. Well this is interesting.

"Chris!" I turned just as a flash of lightning strike. Revealing Devin running inside with Sally, his arm bleeding yet again. And they're both drenched. "Chris tornado is coming. And we ain't all gonna fit in that basement."

"Where's Willow? Chris? Where is she?" I looked back at Astrid. I couldn't tell if she was wondering where she had run off to, or wondering where her body was. And I be a dead man if I ever let her forget again. Damn car.

**FLASHBACK**

"Chris we didn't have to go out tonight. She's only turning 2." Astrid laughed and smiled as I grinned at Willow from the rearview mirror. She was playing with her toys and giggling. She's just the cutest thing ever.

"Mommy! Daddy! Look I made!" She was just starting to make full sentences. Forgetting that I was the one driving I looked back to see what she was holding. It was a picture of all of us.

"Daddy why you like mommy?" That list was endless.

"Chris look out!!" I turned around in time to try and steer out of the way of the other car. But failed. The car hit us head on.

"Daddy!" That was the last thing I remember before waking up in the hospital. I woke up and was able to take Astrid and Willow home. Willow only had to have her arm put in a small cast and I had a head concision. None of us knew Astrid had forgotten who Willow was to her or that I had asked her to marry me until the next day. I woke up to Astrid trying to get out of the room. I always locked the door when Willow slept in our room.

"Babe? Come back to bed. It's too early for this shit." She looked terrified like I was going to punish her for being in the room. Wait, when she was younger before she was 16 I would have. Astrid got the door unlocked and ran out of the room. She wouldn't come out of her cell for the next week after that. This can't be happening. No no no no this couldn't be happening. That accident. Why was it that me and Willow made it out with only minor injuries, but Astrid. She- she couldn't remember anything after the age of 15.

**END FLASHBACK**

"Everyone get in the basement. Now!" Everyone, but us started to go down into the basement. There was no way we would be able to fit every last one of us in there not that it would have been a good idea either way even if there was room. Sally clung onto Devin more and started to laugh.

"We got them daddy!"

"Yup now let's go lock those dick faces in." What? They planned this? How and why?

"What the fuck are you guys talking about?"
