(Aria's POV)

All of the guests have left at this point and it's only Dan, Phil, Grace, and I left in the flat. Grace and Phil are sitting on the couch having a conversation while Dan and I are sitting in the kitchen making hot chocolate.

The idea of Grace and Phil together is honestly such a strong idea in my mind, they would be adorable together. Dan and I are going to try and come up with an actual plan to get them to spend more time together. That way we're technically not forcing a relationship on them, we're just speeding up the possibility of it happening.

We're currently staring at them over the counter because of course, that isn't obvious at all. Luckily, their backs are towards us.

"How are we going to begin Operation Phrace?" I whisper to Dan.

He hums, "We could always set them up on a date or something. Like we plan to go out as a group but then us two cancel?"

"That would be too obvious though, and super awkward."

"True. By the way, why are we hunched over the counter and whispering? They can't see us."

"Shh, this is Operation Phrace. We need to make it seem secretive and whispering and spying is secretive."

"Well, hunching over is hurting my back."

"It's not my fault you're so tall. If you were shorter you wouldn't have to hunch so low."

"Last time I checked my height allowed you to put the star on the tree, so be thankful."

"I am thankful, but I'm not the one complaining."

It's in this moment that Grace and Phil turn around to where we are standing and instead of being normal, socially functioning people who would just wave or smile, both Dan and I duck out of sight. Again, not obvious at all.

I look over at Dan who genuinely looks terrified that they saw us despite his complaining and I burst out laughing. Dan glances over and he too starts to laugh. When Grace and Phil come over, probably concerned for our mental health, they see a boy and girl both lying on their backs while losing their minds laughing. But, being the great friends they are, instead of judging us and walking away, they join in laughing.

For the second time tonight, I'm reminded of how grateful I am that I found such great people to call my friends.

We're all currently sitting in front of the tv watching one of the many Christmas movies they play during the season and drinking the hot chocolate Dan and I made earlier. I'm curled up beside him and the smile once again cannot be wiped off my face.

Peppermint hot chocolate seems better when you're curled up with a Christmas movie playing and a Dan Howell by your side. All three should come in a package to make everyone have an even better Christmas. But, I wasn't complaining to have the only one in existence.

I glance up at Dan to see him already staring at me and immediately blush. I lean my head onto his shoulder and feel him kiss the top of my head before laying his head on top of my mine and putting his arm around my shoulder pulling me into him. Grace glances over to us and she gives me a smile and mouths, "you two are the cutest." causing my blush to deepen even more.

We remain like that for a few more moments until I hear my phone ring. I'm confused as to who it may be considering everyone I'd get a call from are in the room with me. There's no caller ID and I don't recognize the number so I let it ring. If it's important they'll leave a voicemail. Plus, I wasn't about to let a phone call interrupt the moment.
