"Hello, love," Mr Styles cooed with a thick British accent, "what's your name?"

"I uh," I hesitated, generally reacting the usual way by lowering my head, "I'm Trinity."

Mr Styles flashed me a bright grin before complimenting me for my name. Beth was telling Mr Styles literally both hers and my life story as if he even cares. If Beth's intentions are the complete opposite of mine I don't need to be standing here anymore. I wouldn't say Beth is a slut but I wouldn't call her the 'virgin Mary' either. Ever since we got accepted into Blackwood, I could already tell that Beth and I are traveling down two different paths. It didn't shock me when I realized all Beth did was party, get wasted, flirt, and every now and then shag a few guys in the back seat of her black in color and fuel officiant BMW.

Now, I'm completely different. I have not attended any college raves or other hardcore parties going on around campus. I haven't found the time to seek out a relationship either. I came here to study, learn, and graduate. My education comes first. Fortunately, half of the guys on campus are taken and the other half are fuckboys, and they are most definitely not my type.

Beth obviously cares none about being late to class.

Eventually, I had to text her to leave because she was taking up my class time.

"You should pull a move." Beth whispered to me as she began walking past me. I pinched the bridge of my nose and growled softly in frustration. "Beth," I said, "you...class...go...now." She knows it irritates me that she tries way to hard to make me look easy. According to Beth she's helping me find love. I think I'll pass on that one.

Finally, peace and quiet!

45 minutes later: Today's lesson was a breeze I was really looking forward to a challenge but this is Mr Styles first day so I shouldn't rush him.

The given assignment was to describe any theory I had interest in. It took me a while to decide. Since I was still unsure of my topic I chose to go out for a walk.

When it's cool, like it is today, I wouldn't mind staying out here all day. Of course, only when I'm not busy with my studies, I can finally relax, clear my thoughts, and shut out my fears. It's days like this I want to cherish because I get the opportunity to see the beauty of nature.

The breeze of the autumn air flowed gently through my long brown hair. My heart was at a steady beat as it usually is when I'm walking outside, and it was simply quiet. It almost felt like the beginning of the apocalypse; I'm just strolling down the empty sidewalks unaware of the world around me, having no idea what was going on. It sounds a bit eerie but it's quite surreal. I fumbled for a moment to stop walking on. A little butterfly lingered around me, fluttering through the air so swiftly. If I'm correct in saying this, aren't butterflies greatly affected by the cold weather, like all insects? To my knowledge this was a bit peculiar.

I momentarily held out my hand, and the butterfly slowly landed onto my finger.

What on earth are you doing out in this cold? I asked consciously. The black and bright blue butterfly fluttered its wings at me. It suddenly hit me.

"I've found my topic!" I said out loud. I watched the mysterious butterfly hover over my hand. It danced around my head before taking flight back to where it came from.

This chapter was kind of getting to know Trinity's character. In translation, she admires nature and heeds to the beauty few people see within our surroundings. She's intelligent, and there's a reason for the butterfly. Share your thoughts in the comments, and let me know if the story should continue.
