When Mark came back this time with a defeated face, I made a decision right then and there.

I'm going to get Taylor.

As we close in on their location again, I pack a small bag that has some money, a jacket, wrapped food and a gun in it. I don't know who I will run into, but I need to be prepared for anything.....

and anything includes not finding Taylor here..... or finding him when its too late.

"Krisa, My mom is-" Mark comes into the room, but stops in the door way with a confused face at first, but slowly it dawns on him what I plan to do.

"Wow, wow, wow. Fireball we have to be reasonable about this and I cant let you go alone." he says putting his hands up and walking to me slowly.

"Mark." I say cold enough that it stops him, "I'm going. I'm sick of this cat and mouse game they are playing with us, I'm going to go get Taylor back." I say putting the bag on my back. "You can come with me, or not; but I am going, nothing you do will stop me." I say walking passed him out into the hallway.

Mrs. Coy and Cody still don't know that the man I've been bringing over is actually a part of their family, but its not my place to tell them. They honestly think that I am moving on and dating him, but Both Mark and me know that a relationship like that wont work between us now, not like it did in the past.

"Krisa." Mark says following me down the stairs, I hurry down them and go into the kitchen where Mrs. Coy is stirring a bowl of brownie mix; Its thick aroma filling my nose and making my insides melt to the familiarity of it.

"Are you going somewhere dear?" she asks looking at me and then behind me, Mark stood there and put his hands on both sides of my hips.

"Yeah, I forgot that I had some business to take care of, I'm sorry I couldn't stay longer." I say walking up to her and hugging her tightly.

"Oh," she says a little surprised, but hugs me back tighter than I hugged her, "It was nice seeing you my dear, next time maybe you and Bruce can stay longer." she says pulling back to smile at me.

I nod and then walk over to the living room, Cody is sitting on the couch playing halo with two of his friends.

"Bye Cody." I say looking at the little boy I've watched grow up.

At first he just nods and doesn't even look at me, but then right when I am about to turn away, his head snaps over to me, his eye's almost filled with panic.

"Wait!," he jumps up from the couch and walks with me to the door. Mark already at the door, but he is turned to face Cody.

"What do you mean by "Bye"?" he says with furrowed eyebrows.

"Cody, I'm just saying-" I start but he shakes his head and I stop to let him explain.

"Krisa you hate goodbye's, absolutely hate them; never in my life have I heard you say goodbye to someone." he says looking into my eye's for the slightest bit of a clue of what I might be thinking, but I show nothing.

I feel so empty and that is what he sees.

I look down for a minute and think about what he said and he is right, I do hate goodbyes more than anything else in the world; I don't even remember the last time I said a goodbye to someone, I always say see you later, because I will see them later. But this time I might not see Cody or Mrs. Coy again.

So the words that fit the best where the ones I hate.

I look back up at Cody and pull him into a hug, he stiffens, but hugs me back; its strong and tight and I never want it to end, but it has to.

"Goodbye Cody." I whisper into his ear and then turn, walking out the open front door into the night.

once I open the car door, I look over my shoulder to see Cody still standing there in shock and confusion, he's eye's glued to me. I smile weakly at him and then get in the car.

Mark starts the engine, I watch as the house slowly disappears from view then look at the road ahead of us.

"Krisa, you shouldn't-" Mark starts, but I stop him.

"I'm doing this, with or without your help." I say staring out at the sunset.

"I'm not letting you go alone." he says placing a hand on my shoulder.

"I figured that much, don't stop me Mark, you know that I can disappear just as easily as you can." I say looking at him now.

Marks eye's go wide for a second, then turn sad; when we were little I was always the best at hide and go seek, everyone would spend hours trying to find just me; but not one of them could find me, they all had to give up and I would come out on my own.

If they want to play a game, I'll give them one hell of a game.

3.........2.......1....... let the games begin.

Hey readers, I have news for you.

So I never planned for this story to be this long, so I've decided to end it with 15 chapters.

That means.............. Only two more chapters left! get excited.

I still haven't decided if I am going to be cruel or not, so just read the chapters and maybe leave a comment on if I should be cruel or if I should have mercy on my characters.

Thanks for reading :)
