And finally, we are free from the clutches of the so-called finals. Well, they are, precisely, known as mid-terms, but they are the finals of the classes that we had all signed up for the fall. Soon it is the end of the fall semester and so, we decided, as a group (the usual four of us) that we would go on a trip somewhere, locally, or even a mini-road trip, if time allowed.
Somewhere amongst the planning and talks, we might have forgotten the hectic process of moving all our things out of the dorms. Because, just now, I heard a loud WHAT from the room next door and then laughter, as Sarah burst into giggles at Cecilia's reaction. We have the door open right now, and it's just generally a relaxed sense in the air within the entire dorm. Finals are over and the storm has passed.
Miyuki came around earlier in the day with a list of who would be leaving when, because, due to all the luggage and feet traffic, we were designated days of moving out. Our floor, well our half, was mostly to move out next week, while a select few who had wished for an earlier date, were leaving at their decided times and days.
I've already started the packing process, boxes out and halfway packed. Mel is still hanging on the last thread and not packing up yet. I've already found an apartment relatively close to campus, so I plan to put all my stuff there before we go on our little trip.
I hope I can manage all of this in this little time. I'm sure I will. Oh, I still have to finish that book. It's been neglected on my shelf for weeks. The cover is still covered, like Mel made me. I wonder if it feels bad for being such a book with such a cover. Then again, there is the saying "don't judge a book by its cover", unless it is truly as it seems. Which is not the case. Most of the time. Well, there is blood in this book, but its not dripping blood from every page, splattering to the ground as you just as much as turn a page. That is quite extreme.
Oh, another note: the stone is back to its normal shape, the round, originally flat, shape. During finals, I did write it turned into a star. Hmm. Mysterious is all. I guess the tiredness was getting to me.
Signing off,
Naomi
