The sun's half sunk. I don't know when we're going home. I don't want to go home.

"Jason?" I looked at him. His eyes were closed and he was smiling. A thought came to my mind and this was the first time I saw him like this- peaceful and happy. I wonder when I would look like that. Someday.

"Alyssa?" he answered.

"Uh."

"Uh, what?"

"Er."

I can't believe I have nothing to say to him. Maybe I just wanted to say his name.

LOL.

"Er, what?"

"I..."

"Have nothing to say." He finished the statement for me.

I chuckled and proceeded looking at the sun. It was almost completely devoured by the ocean. Though I do know that the earth is silently rotating.

"What are you thinking about?" Jason asked.

"That the earth is revolving in this very moment yet we don't feel anything," I said.

Jason opened his left eye and peaked at me. He smirked.

"What? You were asking what I was thinking. I answered. If you think my answer is nonsense then you're implying that my brain is weird."

"I'm not saying that. I didn't say anything actually." He smirked more.

"Well, you did laugh."

"I smirked. You're just so different."

Different? Different? Is that good or bad? DIFFERENT? Woah. What did that mean? What was it supposed to mean? Ugh, I'm taking too much time thinking about this. He's going to think I'm weird. Or weirder. Gosh.

Jason smirked again. "What are you thinking now?"

"Why do you need to know?"

"I asked you first." He was looking at me with both eyes now.

"That. . . Your hair is blonde" it came out more of a question.

"Nice try. So, Alyssa. What are you thinking?"

"I was thinking what 'different' was supposed to mean." I quoted with my hands.

I wasn't looking at him. I just do a quick glance or I made sure I wouldn't look at him for too long. Something mught be bound to happen.

"Huh. Well, different means that you're unique. You're not like other girls. You prefer your own decisions but you can't do that because of your parents. Your like, bound. Like me. But I find ways. You should, too."

In movies, the girl would look into the boy's eyes. There would be a moment. And then slowly, their heads will be closer and their lips would be locked.

This isn't a movie.

"So, I'm like you?"

Jason chuckled. "I would very much like it of your sentence was "I like you"".

"Nice try." I copied him. "For your information, I do find ways."

That probably wasn't believable. Jason raised his eyebrows and a smug expression crossed his face.

"It doesn't work out though," I added.

The sun was sunk. The sky was already getting darker. My mom would be looking for me.

"Works out for me. From what you told me about your childhood, you did found a way."

"But that wasn't me. That was Neil."
