liam's pov
"Call us when you land," Zayn pats me on the shoulder as Ellie and I get shouted at by the attendants of the flight.
The boys all decided to stay a few extra days here so they can go home and relax. It took some convincing on my part. I think I assured them a thousand times that I'd be okay without them at the hospital. I think the only reason they agreed to it was because Ellie promised them all that she would text them updates every day.
I was actually looking forward to just being able to spend all my time with Ellie. Of course I enjoy the company of the boys, but now that Ellie and are together - which is still hard for me to wrap my head around - I can't help but to be so consumed by her.
Ellie and I decided not to tell the boys about us, not yet anyways. As ecstatic they would be, we know they would have a hard time containing it. And when we sat down last night and just talked about everything and anything, we decided our main focus was secrecy.
Once I was out of the hospital, things would be different and we could live like a normal couple. But until then, it's top secret to protect Ellie's job. We considered just waiting until then, but we both knew it was no use.
I'm in a constant state of wanting to kiss her. There's no waiting for me.
"Enjoy your breaks at home," I smile, "We'll see you soon," I give them a wave as Ellie wheels be up the ramp, leading back onto our plane.
The doors quickly shut behind us, as we are behind schedule, not surprisingly. It was hard saying goodbye to my family this morning, so as always, my mum dragged it out as much as possible, no matter how many times I told her I was going to miss my flight.
Most of our management decided to stay here as well, heading back to London for a few days. Ellie and I are accompanied by a few bodyguards and that's it. It's the first time I've truly felt I've had some privacy. The plane feels empty without the other lads here filling it with their loud laughter and booming voices.
Ellie and a bodyguard help me into a regular plane seat, one much more comfy than my wheelchair. Ellie takes her seat beside me, sharing a small smile with me as the bodyguard heads towards the back of the plane, leaving us completely alone in the front of the plane.
The silence rings for a few moments before the both of us break into laughter.
"Privacy is what we've been dying for, and now that we have it, we don't know what to do with it," she shakes her head, wearing that cute little grin of hers.
"Then I might as well go ahead and do this then," I smile, reaching forward to gently grab her chin and pull her towards me so I can lightly press my lips against hers.
I can feel her smile against my lips, causing my stomach to do flips and my head to become all foggy. I don't think I'll ever get used to kissing her. Every time I do it, I become putty in her hands. She's got this power over me that makes me feel quite silly, to be honest.
"I certainly wouldn't mind doing that for our 10 hour flight," She shrugs, leaning forward to plant another kiss on my lips, her long hair tickling my cheek ever-so-slightly.
"Don't tempt me," I smirk, earning a bashful chuckle from her as she gets cozy in her seat.
She slips her feet out of her shoes and folds her legs beneath her, preparing herself for the long flight ahead. But I can't help but to notice the way her hand doesn't leave my arm. At some point she must have rested it there on mine - probably when she was distracting me with her soft lips - and appears to have no intention moving it.
