"Give me a second change." The words echo in my mind the next morning. I sit up. "AJ?" I call out. "Yeah?" She replies from the other room. "Come here please." She walks in, still in her Spongebob pajamas. "What's up?" I wrap my arms around my legs, resting my chin on my knees. "Should I give Dean a second chance?" I ask quietly. Her mouth tightens, but quickly relaxes. "I.. I trusted him with you. I thought you had finally found someone you loved. And he.." She paused. AJ sat down next to me and rubbed my hand. "I just don't want you to get hurt again." I nod. I understand what AJ's saying.. but.. "You think I can trust him again?" "Only time will tell." She stands up and turns back to look at me as she leaves. "Now GET UP." I laugh and roll out of the bed, only to see that I have a text. From Seth.
S- Hey. Just wanted to check if you're ok.
P- Lovely.
I wasn't in a texting mood right now.

My fist stopped, inches away from the door. Was I going to do this? Was I going to put my heart on the line again?

I knocked on the door. No going back now. Roman answers the door, and raises his eyebrows before calling for Dean and leaving. As Dean approaches the door, his face fills with happiness. "Hi." I mutter awkwardly. He smiles. "Hey." I finally look up at him. "You wanted a second chance?" He steps outside into the hallway, locking the door behind him before turning to me. "Yes. A second chance to prove that that was a mistake." I didn't miss him. At first. But the memories came flooding back. "Please?" He whispers.
"...ok."
