LOST IN A NEW WORLD

Chapter 5

The next thing I knew, we were running through the dark tunnels again. "Where are we going?" I asked.

"To find luke," Alice replied, determination in her eyes as she pulled me along. I don't know what she's doing but I hope it's something good. I thought wishing that Luke was here as we ran through the tunnel to a different entrance.

"Are we going to the Queen's palace?"

"Well, yes but I'm going to warn you now, that we are going to have to be really really quiet, because if they catch us we are dead, ok?"

"Yep,"I replied nervously as we climbed up through the secret entrance and into a golden palace.

"Come on, we need to stay in the shadows where no one will be able to see us," Alice whispered as she took my hand and dragged me over to the dark, mysterious shadows were around every corner of the palace.

After silently walking in the shadows for what felt like forever, Alice finally led me out into the piercing light as we walked into a dark room. Alice softly closed the door behind us and locked it, before leading me over to a bed with a white sheet pulled over it.

"What is it,"I asked as she started to pull the sheet back revealing a person.

"Luke,"Alice whispered as she carefully lifted him up and lied him down on the floor. She then picked up two of the golden candles that were around the room and put them on either side of Luke's head. Then she took out the book that we had got from the library and started chanting a spell.

For who they may be
Told of soul
Let him rise from
Hell in force
Let him tell the world once more
As those of whom have left his
Soul.

I went over and sat next to Alice as we both stared down at Luke. At first nothing happened, but slowly colour started to come black to his beautiful pale face as he was lifted from the ground in a tornado of light and sparks. It let off rays brighter than the sun, as we watched Luke transform into a soldier looking elf. When he finally came back down, he didn't look like the Luke I knew, he looked bad and evil.

"What do you guys think your doing here!"Luke yelled, scaring the living day lights out of me.

"Geez we just saved your life and that's all you can give us!"I screamed, forgetting the fact that we were in a palace for of evil people.

"Come on we need to go now,"Alice whispered as she pulled me towards the glass window and smashed it with a chair that was next to it before pulling us both through.

"What about Luke,"I asked as soon as we were at a safe enough distance from the palace that we could stop running.

"We'll deal with him later. He's safe at the moment, since the Queen isn't aloud to kill soldiers,"Alice replied.

"Ok, come on let's go back to the house,"

"No we can't, it's not safe there anymore. Here follow me, I know a place where we will be safe,"She replied as I grabbed her hand as she took me to her secret place.

The first thing I noticed when we got to the secret place was that it was a dump. Yep a dump, how wonderful. No wonder no one lives here. I thought as I ran to catch up with Alice. She had walked up to one of the old, rusty cars, that looked like it was one of the first cars made. It had no doors or seat belts and was grey and brown. It looked liked it hadn't been driven for over 50 years.
