"Beep, beep, beep, beep"
"Urghhhhh, turn it off!" I yelled trying to find the snooze button, while half asleep.
"Hurry up Melinda, or you're going to be late for school!" My Mum yelled from somewhere downstairs.
"Coming!" I yelled before muttering,"Mums these days,"I then threw the covers off me as I got out of bed and threw my school uniform on. I tried to do my hair the best I could but it's kind of hard when you hair is curly and never does what you tell it to do. Why does my hair have to be so curly? I thought wishing I had beautiful, long, straight hair, like other girls at my school did. Instead I was stuck with curly short hair, that always stuck up everywhere.
"MELINDA!" I heard my mother call again, snapping me out of my train of thought. Rushing out of my room, I ran down the stairs to where Mum was standing, in the kitchen."Thank God," I heard Mum mutter under her breathe.
"Where's Harry?" I asked, referring to my big brother.
"Probably still sleeping, you better go wake him up"
"Fine!" I replied and trudged back up the stairs to where Harry's room is located. Why couldn't Mum wake him up? I hated going into his room. He always had a girl with him, and I didn't like seeing the things that they got up to. Sure enough, when I walked into Harry's room there was a blonde haired girl there, making out with my brother! Yuck! I almost vomited as I walked over to them and loomed over Harry and his 'girl' staring down at them.
When Harry finally realised I was there after what felt like ages, he let out a Yelp and practically fell out of bed. "Get up!" I yelled and walked out.
"What's her problem," I heard the girl ask, when I was out of the room.
"Not sure, but I-" I didn't hear he rest, as I was out of hearing range.

"Did you get him," Mum asked as I walked into the kitchen and took the plate of delicious eggs and bacon, that she was holding out for me to take.
"Yes, I told him to get up, but I didn't want to interrupt him from his time with his 'girl'."
"He's got another one has he?" She asked with a weird look on her face. I couldn't help but laugh at her reaction, since I thought she would be used to him having girls around by now.
"Do you think he's ever going to find, 'the one'?" I asked curiously.
"I'm not sure honey, I hope so...." Her voice rattled off as she mumbled something I couldn't hear. "Anyway eat up your breakfast or you really will be late for school."
I quickly took a glance at the clock, 8:35! Fudge, how am I supposed to make it to school in 25 minutes! I thought before quickly golfing down the rest of my breakfast.
"Thanks for breaky Mum," I yelled running out of the room and down the corridor and out the door.
The air outside was cool and fresh, as it was still the middle of Winter. I ran to my car and jumped in before driving down the street to pick up my best friend Melody.
Melody was the complete opposite to me. She had beautiful long blonde hair and was really pretty. She was good at everything and has won the X factor, and got the highest score in a maths test against the whole world! When I asked her if she could tutor me, she only replied saying, that I didn't need tutoring, because I was smart enough already, where as I am actually failing terribly!
