A week later

Charap called Pattie, Blazie, and Elyon to him before Team Friendship could go upstairs to the job boards.

"You three have become quite good at your work," Charap said. "Because of your very successful capture of Drowzee, I have decided that you shall be assigned a mission worthy of an exploration team apprentice."

Pattie, Blazie, and Elyon stared at each other with excitement.

"Really?!" Pattie squealed. "Thanks, Charap!"

"Open up your Wonder Map."

Pattie took their map from out of the Treasure Bag.

"We would like for you to investigate this waterfall over here." Charap pointed to a spot on the map far away from the guild. "At first glance, it seems to be an ordinary waterfall. But, according to our intelligence, the waterfall may be hiding a secret. We want you three to investigate the waterfall and determine what's there. Once you complete this job, you will get ten Explorer Rank points."

"Okay, we'll do our best," said Blazie.

"I'll leave you to investigating the waterfall," said Charap. "Good luck!"

After dropping off some things at the Kangaskan Storage, Team Friendship left for their exploration at the waterfall. It took almost two hours to reach their destination.

The roar of the waterfall was up ahead. The three friends looked up to the waterfall as they reached the waterfall.

"This must be the waterfall with the big secret," said Elyon.

Blazie walked up to the waterfall. "Let's get on with this!" she said excitedly. But as Blazie got super close to it, she was knocked over!

"Owie!" Blazie slowly got up, rubbing her back and her sides. "That water is really pounding down! Just get close to it yourself, you guys."

Elyon walked up to the waterfall. Just like with Blazie, she got knocked down. Elyon cringed with pain. "Ow, that smarts!"

Now, Pattie cautiously walked towards the waterfall. Flecks of water splashed her face. The roar of the waterfall was overwhelmingly mighty.

'Wow, Blazie's right! I can barely even stand close to the waterfall.' Pattie got close to the waterfall. When she did, Pattie was knocked over and onto her back. "Yowch!" Pattie cried.

Blazie and Elyon helped Pattie up. Pattie rubbed her back.

Elyon looked up at the waterfall. "If one fell under the waterfall, I should think that you would get pretty battered up. I never thought that it would be pounding down this hard! Where do we even start looking?"

At that moment, Pattie felt her frequent dizziness.

'Hey, I'm having another one of those visions!' Pattie thought. She closed her eyes to try to get rid of the dizziness. Instead, she saw a shadowed figure in front of the waterfall. It walked away from the falls, turned around, and ran fast towards it. The number disappeared into the water. On the other side of the waterfall was a small dark cavern. The figure looked around curiously, then walked to the cave entrance and out of sight.

Pattie opened her eyes back and stared at the waterfall. 'What in the world did I just see?' she wondered. "Mmm..." Pattie said aloud.

Blazie and Elyon turned to Pattie. "Hey, what's wrong, Pattie?" Blazie asked.

"I just had another vision," said Pattie.

Blazie and Elyon's eyes widened.

"Another one?!" Elyon said in disbelief. "What did you see?"
