Avery's POV

My head was killing me.

I got up from my bed slowly and made my way to the bathroom which is located past my brother's bedroom, I tried to walk as quiet as possible, because I didn't want to create any noise that would make everyone awake in the house especially my brother.

It would be a disaster if I woke him up and I'm trying to make that not to happen. I clenched my teeth as I walked toward the bathroom door, my hands trailed the wall so I could balance myself. I reached out to the door and slowly opened it.

Once I got inside, I leaned my body to the cold tiled wall of the bathroom just to ease the pain in my head and I closed my eyes for a couple of seconds.

When the pain is slowly residing, I moved to the sink and reached out for the medicine cabinet. I saw my reflection in the mirror and I didn't like what I saw.

I had a bruise in my forehead that is now turning into yellowish and purple mark. Frowning, I dropped my hand from it and opened the cabinet.

When I found what my head is badly needing for, I reached it out and popped the bottle that contained the pain killer into my mouth, I gulped down as I lowered my face drinking the falling water from the faucet.

It would take a couple of minutes before the medicine kicked in, I think. I went back to my room and noticed that the door in my brother's bedroom was slightly opened. My heart skipped a bit, trying to remember whether he's up because I made a noise or he just woke up by himself.

I felt that the headache I was getting rid of was coming back more harshly than before and taking its revenge from the medication I just took in. I moved quickly to my room ignoring the pain that was already came back inside my skull.

Before the door spilled the person I was trying to avoid, I retreated in to my room just in time. I heard footsteps going to the place where I've been gone and I silently thanked heavens for saving me from what I was avoiding of.

Standing awkwardly in my bedroom, my eyes darted from the ceiling to the clock on my desk located exactly right beside my bed. From what I can see - the red dots showing it was already 5:05 in the morning. I moved back to my bed and laid down for a bit, thinking I still had a couple of minutes before my day started again.

I tucked myself in, dozed off easily and the last night events came back in my head making me whimper, feeling my eyelids became warmer.
