{Lily}
Don't ask me how (James definitely told them), but it is not long before everyone seems to know that the Head boy and girl are dating, and to be honest, I don't really mind the fact that they know, because I am happier than I have been in a long time (despite the constant news of deaths and disappearances).
It's Friday and I'm walking to lunch with Alice and Em; we are meeting the others in the Great Hall, when I hear his voice, "Lily,"
I spin around to see him, standing behind me.
"Severus," I say, my jaw clenched. It's the first time I've spoken to him since I punched him in the corridor.
Alice and Em, who are deep in conversation, continue on, without even noticing that I've stopped.
"Can I talk to you, please?" He says pleading.
"I don't owe you anything," I say coldly.
"Please?"
I glare at him, how my best friend, the little boy who told me I was a witch, who helped me build cubbies in my bedroom, who put band-aids on my bloody knees, who was there for me when Petunia wasn't, how he had turned into who he is now is beyond me.
Nostalgia gets the better of me.
"Fine, two minutes, that's all you get," I say, making sure to keep my voice blunt.
"Thank you, come this way." He leads me up a secret passage way, concealed with a tapestry of the lake.
The passage way is small and I can't help feeling claustrophobic being so close to him. I mean, how am I supposed to ever trust him again after everything he's done.
"Okay, out with it," I say quickly, knowing all to well what is coming.
"Is it true-" Severus starts, but I cut him off.
"Is it true that James and I are dating? Yes."
"Lily, you know what he's like, people like him don't change," Severus says earnestly.
"People like you should," I say cooly, not even batting an eyelash.
"He hexed me, yesterday Lily, for no reason," he ignores my last comment.
"No reason, huh, does Rose ring a bell?" I taunt.
"Look," he says after a moment, "I don't want to fight with you, but-"
I cut him off again, "Don't want to fight with me? You should've though about that before you attacked Rose! And since you didn't ask, she is recovering, and will be leaving St. Mungo's next week, but she's going to have permeant physcological damage. Thanks to you, and your little friends,"
"For the last time," he says through gritted teeth.
"For the last time I'm going," I say, turning my back on him and leaving.

I put Severus out of my mind over the next few days, what ever the hell is going on with him is his problem and until he actually apologises and admits to everything he's done, there is no way I am even going to consider forgiving him.
As the days become colder and the nights become longer, the seventh years' homework pile becomes taller and taller and taller. Not that that stops James and the other marauders, they eventually do manage to change the Slytherin password, which earns them two weeks worth of detention, cutting down mine and James time considerably, plus he has Quidditch practice too.
It's a Friday night, almost eleven clock and the rain is drizzling down the windows. Despite the time, the common room is buzzing with people. James, Sirius, Remus and Peter still aren't back from their final detention. I'm sitting with the girls (minus Mary who is on the other side of the room with Greg Mason), by the fire, my unfinished DADA essay is lying on the table along with Marlene's that says, 'The long-term effects of the Imperious Curse' and nothing else.
"Ughhhh, you're all so boring," Marlene moans, interrupting Alice, and Em who were talking about something they'd read in the Daily Prophet, "I bags the boys dormitory when the guys get back,"
"How come you and Sirius always get the boys dormitory?" I ask, annoyed.
"Cause what me and Sirius do isn't PG," Marlene replies.
I roll my eyes, the perfect defence for when I have no comeback.
"If it's not PG then don't write me notes in class about it," Alice says and I mentally thank her.
"Oh stop acting so innocent, it's not like you're a virgin," Marlene says carelessly.
There's a moment of silence.
"You're not a virgin?" I say.
"Shit, sorry, I thought they knew," Marlene says to Alice.
"Obviously not," Alice says through gritted teeth.
"Alice, why didn't you tell us?" Em asks.
"Yeah, and when did this happen?" I ask.
"Sorry I didn't tell you guys, I just, I dunno, didn't really find the right time," Alice says awkwardly.
"Yet you found the time to tell Marlene?" Em says.
"Hey, no, she told me before that they were going to do it and then I followed up," Marlene interjects.
"I told Marls cause she's the only one out of us to have actually done it, I just wanted her opinion," Alice says, "and do we have to talk about this right now, there are second years over there!"
"So it was with Frank, this summer?" I ask, ignoring her last comment.
"Yeah, at the start," Alice replies.
"Was he good?" Em asks.
Alice nods her head seriously, "Really good,"
"He looks like he'd be good at it," Marlene comments.
"Marls, watch it, my boyfriend, not yours," Alice says, half jokingly.
"How many times did you do it?" Em asks curiously.
"Okay, no, I'm done," Alice state loudly, standing up.
Almost as if on cue, the boys walk through portrait hole; Marlene jumps up and grabs Sirius by the arm and leads him the stairs to the boys dormitory without so much of a 'hello'.
"Next time," Remus says, sitting down where Marlene was moments ago, with a sigh, "you should listen to me and not change the password to something so obvious."
"Where was that advice two weeks ago, huh Moony?" James replies, sitting down next to me.
"Hey," I say, giving him a quick, soft kiss. He kisses me back slightly harder, caressing my cheek with his hand. I subconsciously move closer to him, practically climbing into his lap.
Alice hits me with a pillow and I jump off James, startled, "Hey, keep it PG remember," she tells us.
"It's not our fault Marlene and Sirius took the dormitory," I snap at her, annoyed. James and I barely get any alone time and it isn't our fault that Marlene and Sirius are constantly taking the dormitory or that Alice has some weird problem with PDA.
"Lighten up Al," James says carelessly, giving me one more quick kiss in protest.
She doesn't say anything and instead engages in conversation with Peter and Remus.
I kiss James again, "C'mon," I say, "Let's go outside,"
"But Evans," James replies as we stand up, with a slight grin, "It's past curfew,"
"I know," I raise my eyebrows and smirk at him.
We walk out through the portrait hole and lucky for us the Fat Lady must be somewhere else.
With my back against the wall James kisses me roughly; I kiss him back, standing on my tip-toes so I can run my fingers through his hair.
He pulls his lips away from mine only to give me a few quick, soft neck kisses.
We kiss again, my hands on his cheek, feeling his scratchy stubble beneath my fingers. He sucks ever so slightly on my bottom lip, and a soft moan escapes me. Kissing him seems to electrify all of my senses, except it seems, my hearing because we don't even react to the first cry of, "Potter! Evans!" we hear it, but it seems to come from a far distance instead of right next to us.
"Potter, Evans!" This time we break apart, and I am mortified to see McGonnagal barely a foot from us.
"Professor!" I cry, alarmed.
"And what exactly are you two doing?!" She asks us in a high-pitched voice, her nostrils flaring more than usual.
"Our head boy and girl duties?" James says hopefully (and pathetically).
She ignores him and turns to me, "Evans, what time is your curfew?"
"Half past ten," I reply, my face still red with embarrassment.
"And what time is it?"
"Half past ten?" I lie, just as pathetic as James.
"I think you both know perfectly well that it is NOT half past ten! It is ten past eleven, and here you both are, the head boy and girl, fornicating in the hallway!"
"Well at least we were doing it together and not with other people, we are the school's role-model couple, you know," James pipes up.
I hold my breath and wait for McGonagall to give him a whole years worth of detention; it doesn't take long.
"Detention Potter! Detention for the next two weeks, since this is not your first offence of this sort, and one week for you Evans! Now back into the common room, and goodnight to the two of you!" She glares at us until we have climbed back through the portrait hole and into common room.
"Merlin, I don't think I've ever had a head boy in detention so often," She mutters as the portrait hole shuts and she walks away.
I stare at James pointedly, and he smiles weakly up at me.
"Not your first offence of this sort, hey?" I prompt, still looking at him.
"I swear she said that on purpose so you'd get angry at me," he replies.
"Not angry, Potter, just wondering who you were fornicating in the hallway with?" I raise my eyebrows and try not to laugh.
"Hey you had girlfriends, I had boyfriends, but this is our relationship now," he says seriously as he takes my hand and kisses it.
I frown, and try even harder not to laugh, "Oh, when you say you had 'boyfriends' you mean Sirius, right?"
James laughs, and so do I, "I meant the other way round, you knew that," he tells me.
"Yeah I did," I say giving him a quick kiss, "still, if you were gay, you would totally go for Sirius,"
"Who wouldn't?" James grins.
I shrug and laugh, "Good point,"
"Whoah, no you're supposed to say that Sirius is ugly as fuck and that I'm the hottest guy in the world,"
In reply I stand on my tip-toes and ruffle up his hair, before kissing him, long and softly, "James Potter, you're adorable,"
He kisses me back, "I know,"
I give him a light punch on his arm before wrapping my arms around his neck and kissing him again, "You still didn't tell me who were fornicating in the hallway with," I say after we break apart, my arms still around his neck.
"The list could go on for ages, Evans," he says slyly; I roll my eyes affectionately.
"Let's see, that girl over there," He says pointing to a brunette with our back to us, a smirk on his face.
"Shut-up," I say kissing him again, "You're loving this, aren't you?"
"Guilty as charged," the smirk still plastered on his face.
"What about you?" He asks, after another kiss.
"What about me?"
"Ever fornicated? Like actually, um, not what we were doing before," he asks me awkwardly, stumbling over his own words.
"You're asking me if ever had sex?"
He goes bright red at the word, "No-o," he chokes on the single word.
"Say it," I tell him.
"What?"
"Say sex,"
"That's a little immature of you, don't you think Evans?"
"I think it's a little immature that you can't even say it to me, yet you're asking me whether or not I've had it,"
"Fine," he says in defeat.
I stare at him waiting.
"Sex," he mumbles.
I laugh and then kiss him, "No I haven't, not with Benji, not with anyone," I tell him after the kiss, "and you?" I add.
He goes red again.
"Jamessss," I say in a warning tone.
"I, okay, I haven't," he says, still slightly red.
"Knew you weren't as big of a slut as you pretended to be,"
"Guilty as charged," he says again, but he more mutters it this time.
"James, are you alright? You're, uh, sweating,"
"I, um, I just don't like admitting that Sirius had sex before me, you know how competitive we are,"
"Are you serious?" I ask, raising my eyebrows.
"No, if I was Sirius I'd be in the dorm having sex right now,"
I smile, and laugh lightly, realising once again how much I really do like James. Sometimes it just rushes over me when he says something funny like that, and I realise how good it feels to just to be with him.
"Plus I'm hot, that's why I'm sweating," he says stupidly.
I smile up at him.
"What?" He asks.
"I like you a lot, okay Potter?" I say, kissing him.
"Yeah that's fine by me," he replies, kissing me back.~
{James}
"I'm glad," she says, pulling away from me. "Okay, I'm going to go to bed now, before we start fornicating in the hallway and get another detention,"
"Okay," I say giving her one last kiss, "Goodnight, Evans,"
"Goodnight, Potter," Lily says, smiling before walking away.
Smiling stupidly, I sit down on the nearest chair only to jump back up after realising I sat on someone.
"Oi, watch it mate," they snap.
"Sorry," I apologise quickly and hurry over to where the others are still sitting and talking.
I look over at the girls dormitory door and smile again, she likes me a whole lot, then I frown, I like her a lot, and I'd just lied.-
AHHH! Hope you liked it! Please tell me what you thought in the comments, thanks xx
