Violet's point of view

Everything was silent for the longest time. I had heard his angry punch on the wall and gasped loudly. He came in slowly as I hid under the bed. The covers came down low, he couldn't see me. Blood dripped from his knife and clothes onto the floor in the darkness with a low muffle. He walked in with silent steps, listening for me. I breathed in my hands to stop any noises.

My eyes began to water, making my vision cloudy. My hands got warm, and it became harder to breath. Jeff started to open some empty drawers and look in the closet. He was looking for me. Everything was dark and I could barely see his face. Why was he here?! All the memories came rushing back, from that day. "I promise." Was on that letter.

He had kept his promise. I was in danger. My body shook uncontrollably, and my tears fell onto the floorboards. He opened some more drawers and found my suitcases. He mumbled something I couldn't hear. Then he took out the suitcase and came closer. I squeezed my eyes shut. He placed the suitcase on the bed and i heard it click open. My clothes began to fall to the ground as he searched through it. What was he doing? What was he searching for?

He sighed in frustration and threw the suitcase to the wall, making a loud BANG. He took out the next suitcase and threw my clothing out like the last one. Then he stopped short. He stood absolutely still. He was fumbling with something. He tried banging it against the wall. It was my black box.

He started to stick the tip of his knife into the keyhole. He twisted and pulled, fumbled and dug his knife in with no success. Just as I thought he was about to give up, my box clicked open. He stood still again as he pulled out the knife I had kept. "Violet." He whispered. "I know your in here, come out come out where ever you are." He sang happily.

The moonlight flooded in through the open window. He inspected my closet thoroughly, and pulled out the green "Invader Zim" sweater I had worn the day he killed my parents. He smiled even more. "So that man really didn't lie to me." He was talking about my godfather. "Sorry I killed him Violet but he begged me to do it." He whispered as though I was right there next to him.

He turns towards the bed and snickers. "And you have a terrible hiding spot." My eyes widen and I gasp as he flips the bed over without even trying. The bed hits the wall and lands on its side. I crawl backwards, my eyes burning from the tears. "I've finally-" he stops. His smile drops and he's speechless. "Who are you?" He's confused.

I don't speak. His eyes turn hateful and his voice is hoarse. "Where Is Violet?" He demands pacing towards me. He's angry and has the two knifes in his hands. He grabs my arms with one hand and pulls me up to his face with no trouble at all. The black eyes stare back at me without blinking. I hesitate but stare back into them, breathing hard.

He throws me onto the floor, and I hit my head on the wall. The room spins, I see two of him heading towards me again. Police lights are glowing, sirens are heard in the horizon. He looks even angrier as he looks out the window then back at me. We don't say anything. I let my tears fall and my head throbs in pain.

Blue and red lights come in through the window but he doesn't seem to care. He kneels down and punches the wall beside my head. "Where is she?" He hisses, holding the knife at my throat. His black hair falls over his shoulders. I ball my hands into fists, making my nail stubs dig into my skin.

"I'm..... I....." I try to say, but I'm sobbing too much. His eyes widen. "Where is she? Tell me!" He yells grabbing my shoulders roughly. His nails pierce through my thin sweater through my skin. I cry out in pain. "Hurry up!" He yells again over the sirens. I could hear heavy footsteps downstairs. The cops were looking for us. I wouldn't be able to hold him here any longer. I stare at him for a bit before taking out my contacts and taking off my choker. His mark is revealed and he stares at me surprised.

"Violet?" I barely hear him whisper as his eyes widen even more in response.
