By the time I actually realized something was off with the camp (aside from being behind a giant building that blocked out the sun) the desk lady had already shown us around and in was thrown my bags and with a cheerful goodbye, mom had officially ditched me for God knows what and I personally didn't want to know.
I flopped onto my bed and quickly pulled out my phone from my pocket and scrolled down the notifications
Seeing a message from Violet (my sis) brightened my mood considerably. I tapped the screen and brought the message to full view. This was my reaction: ".....WHAT???!!! THERE IS NO POSSIBLE WAY SHE IS HERE!!!"
A sudden knock at the door stopped my rant and quickly I glided across the floor in my socks to open the door.Violet's smiling face and brown hair greeted me and my heart dropped. I knew it. They were once again comparing me, the more athletic one, to Violet my smart younger sis. I love Violet and all, but sometimes her craziness is contagious.
Violet frowned as she registered me. "Cent, what are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be at camp??"
I flashed a sarcastic smile. "I am at camp."
Her eyes widened as she threw her bags on to one of the empty beds and she began pacing. I groaned internally. When Violet started pacing, she wouldn't stop until she solved the problem she was thinking about.I walked over to the wall and started banging my head against it. Violet stopped pacing to stare at me. "What on Earth are you doing?"
"Bashing my brains out. What does it look like Einstein?"
She huffed and continued pacing, same as I continued face palming myself with the wall. Finally, when I was sure that I would have a bruise on my forehead, I stopped and walked over to my own bag.
The navy blue bag greeted me with a sharpie smile and I opened it, pulling out my headphones. Then I heard a knock.
Alarmed, I turned around and looked to Violet, who stopped pacing again and was now looking at the door. The dark silhouette of someone in the little door window freaked me out and I quickly pulled out the little pocket knife I kept with me. Violet was staring mutely at the door before running over and opening it with god like strength I didn't know she had.
I'm the doorway of our cabin stood a guy who looked about about my age (I'm 15 by the way). He had the same dark brown hair as the guy...OH MY GOD!! IT WAS THE SAME GUY THAT MOM HIT WITH HER CAR!!!
I waved an accusing finger in front of his seafoam colored eyes and narrowed my eyes.
"You!!" I yelled and quickly Violet ran behind me when she heard me.
~Nicolas' POV~
The few minutes it had taken me to walk back from the road and back to camp made me realize some things.
1) This girl had seen me heal myself
2) She's probably here in camp
3) She looked pretty terrified when I picked my self up fro the ground and I actually felt a little bad for scaring her.Smacking my self in the forehead I groaned, because Mrs. Higon will have my head when I return back to camp.
I wasn't supposed to heal myself at camp, except in my cabin And even then I had to go into the bathroom to heal.
I am going to die before I get married. I'm going to die before I finally get out of this camp, I'm going to-
My thoughts about dying disappeared when I heard two voices in the cabin next to mine. Curious, I walked over and then ducked underneath the door window. Pressing my ear to the door, I could just barely make out two female voices.
"-bashing my brains in, what does it look like Einstein?"
I then heard a sigh and feet pacing the floorboards. Smirking, I rose up and knocked on the door. I heard the pacing stop and suddenly the door flew open. I jumped a bit in surprise and saw that it was a small girl who had opened the heavy wooden door that I have to struggle to open.
The small girl had brown hair and intelligent gray eyes looked at me with an interested expression and opened her mouth to say something but just as soon as the girl did, another person rushed up.
This girl was the same one from the car and I actually saw more than just her expressions. This girl had amber hair and eyes that were currently an anger filled gaze of green.
She narrowed her eyes at me and pointed a finger at my face.
"You!!"
