~Violet POV~
Darkness. Complete Darkness surrounds me. It's like I'm in space but with no planets, stars, or galaxies to light it up, only blank, empty darkness.
I move my hands but only feel cold air. I move my feet but feel nothing beneath them.
Oh great, I'm dead.
A light started to shine on the side of my vision and I turned to it, squinting in the glare.
Violet...come into the light...
A little miffed at being told what to do, I crossed my arms and said, "No."
The voice sighed and suddenly arms reached out from the darkness and gripped my shoulders, shaking them.
WAKE UP JUST WAKE UP!! The voice screamed and I gripped the arms, trying to pry them off my shoulders.
"Get off!!" I screamed and started just thrashing around. The hands retracted and my eyes shot open.
My breathing was coming in short, quick gasps as I stared at a wood ceiling. My hand was enclosed around the fabric of a bed and I coughed suddenly, expelling something from my lungs.
I hacked one of those horrible coughs you get when you get sick and as I did this I felt my throat suddenly become dry. I stopped coughing and sat up, holding my throat with one hand and rubbing my temple with the other.
"Oh, you're awake now."
My head snapped to the right, where Century was sitting on the edge of the other bed. I smiled meekly at her.
"Yeah, bad dream. Something was choking me." I replied and Cent nodded. There was an awkward silence for a few moments as she stared at the ground and I focused on the ceiling.
"Hey sis, do we have any water? My throat's burning."
Century jumped up and immediately walked over to the bathroom. I heard the tap being turned on and then off. Cent handed me a glass and I drank it all.
Cent sat next to me and turned my head to face her. "Violet, do you have any memory of waking up at night, being in a test tube?"
I stared at her. My sister has finally gone butter butters. World, arm the catapults, Century's gone coocoo for coco puffs!
"What?!" I sputter, choking on air, a skill which I have.
She rolled her eyes. "I SAID-"
"I know what you said. I just don't get why you would say it or ask it for that matter."Cent groaned and brought a hand to her temple, maybe she has a headache. I noticed a faint bluish mark on her skin.
Where'd she get that bruise from? Was she assaulted?! Wait Violet, do not jump the gun here, you're the rational one.
I took a deep breath and glared at Cent with the intensity of the sun.
"Where did you get that bruise and don't you dare say you tripped otherwise I'll mutilate you."~Century POV~
Oh crap. I'm gonna die today. Violet is completely and utterly pissed.
I looked down to the ground and squirmed sheepishly. "Um, I kinda maybe sorta-"
"Tripped? If you say that I will kill you and have no regrets about it." Crap, she's not kidding.
I held up my hands and looked her straight in the eye. "I was kidnapped and then I was out in a test tube filled with radiation and there was radiation pumping into my arm through an IV and the whole situation was no fun. The creepy, freaky, and downright scary robot that kidnapped me weren't appreciated either, they should really fun some better way to kidnap people, maybe wake them up to the sound of the ocean, wait no, never mind, scratch that-"
Violet shoved me and I toppled off the bed, successfully landing on the ground in the most uncomfortable position.
"Stop rambling and get to the point!!"
"Okay! My point is I was kidnapped and had radiation pumped into me and I don't know if you were too or not!!" I hid behind my hands, waiting for Violet to chuckle, then get out her chainsaw, she does own one. She knows how to use it, too.
She coughed again and suddenly looked green. I noticed she was faintly glowing green and her eyes looked bloodshot, like a middle school kid who stayed up til three in the morning.
She out a hand to her mouth and coughed a bit more and when she was satisfied, she removed her hand and looked into it. I picked myself up from off the floor and walked over to her, curious to see what she was looking at.
Whatever it was, it was glowing green and was black and shimmery. Kinda looked like glitter glue but black.
"Ewwwwwwww!" Vi shrieked and flung her hand around. "GET IT OFF!!"
I chuckled a bit and grabbed a tissue from the nightstand beside the bed, and handed it to her.
She frantically wiped her hand until all the goo was on he tissue. Then she promptly threw that tissue in the trash."What was that? Why did I cough up something that looks like black goo?"
"I dunno, but maybe it has something to do with the fact that you have something in you?"
"WHAT?!"
I shrugged. "They probably kidnapped you too, but they didn't put you in a test tube."
Her anger was visible and quickly she threw her pillow at me.
"Explain!!"
Sighing, I stared at the ground as I recalled what had happened back at that lab.
