HEY MAN(S)! I was trying to sleep last night but I couldn't and you know why? Because my phone let off this annoying beep every time someone voted for a chapter. I can't say I didn't feel pride and honored, but it was A LOT. But you know what, keep voting. That annoying beep had given me the power to write the bonus chapter you all deserve for getting me  to ABOVE 300 VOTES! That's great team work guys.

As for you're next challenge to earn a bonus chapter, (Which will be harder since the other one took you guys less then 4 days to achieve), if you can get me to either 100 coments, or 100 followers, whichever comes first, I'll be writing you guys another chapter!

Once again, thank you SO SO SO  much. It means a lot. So enjoy the chapter!!

~Lane's Point of View

"You've only got a large gash to the side of your waist and a severe bruise on your hip. Other than that you're fine. There's nothing for you to worry about. All I ask of you is to take some Advil or Naproxen to help with the pain." The doctor assures me from the foot of the bed, getting ready to leave.
"Before you go, how long will it take to heal completely?" He pauses.
"Not very long, possibly a day or two." He nods at me just as he exits the room, gripping the clipboard to his side.

My head rests against the headboard of the hospital bed. My side had been patched up with gauze and a tape thing. They had to pat it with disinfectant before patching it up and let me tell you, it hurts like a bitch. I close my eyes and allow myself to be submerged in the silence of the room.

I lifts my hand up and trace my bottom lip, remembering when Caden's had pressed against them. I hadn't thought about the kiss as so much had happened from that moment. Felix attacks Caden. I get pushed over, then am carried to the hospital. But now with the free time that I've got, my heart races just thinking of it. His previous words bring warmth to my bloodstream, keeping me warm in a room so cold. 'You own my heart. Every beat is for you.' No matter how much I may like the feeling, I still feel penitent.

I can't say he's the only one who makes me feel that way. Felix has his way also, maybe not with words, but in other ways. Like when he had taken me to that cabin in the woods. When we woke up, it was as if everything was perfect. He was my Romeo and I his Juliet. With all honesty, I hadn't wanted to come back to the palace, too afraid of what life had to offer. And my assumptions were right, are right. Since we've been back everything's been so hectic. It's like being held underwater. Trying to breathe but failing to every time, and when you reach the surface and get a breath of air, you're pulled right back under.

My hand goes limp by my side and my eyelids open. The light streaming in through the window blinds me for a second and the warmth I had felt not only two minutes ago had disappeared. The cold air seemed to begin to envelope me, creeping over my skin as if ready to attack, but nothing happens. All I am is numb.

Footsteps and soft murmurs echo from the hallway are headed in my direction. My held tilts to the side and I stare out the small crack left open. The sounds grow closer, and just when I think that they're going to pass by the room, the footsteps stop at the front of my door. All I could see from the crack is a wisp of light brown locks and a figure much taller behind. The door is pushed open and the first person I see brings tears to my eyes. The person I haven't seen ever since this drama began. The one person I trust with everything I've got. Riley, my older sister.

Riley was all I had when our parent's had passed over. She took me into her home to live with her mate. She made sure my grades were high, that my hair was perfect for school. We also got into many fights. Many, many fights. But I wasn't one to hold grudges, neither was she. If she had any free time, she'd spend it with me. Most of the time it's spent binge watching television series and ranting on and on about how hot Derrick Hale is. She wasn't just my sister, but my best friend too.
