"So Pony, You smoke?" David asked, handing Pony a cigarette. Ponyboy still held a glare, but nodded.

"I don't want it" Ponyboy mumbled. Chris rolled his eyes, while lighting the cigarette and giving it to Pony anyways.

"So what is your story?" Chris asked sitting next Pony. Pony stiffened

"I said I don't have one" Pony mumbled, taking a huge whiff of the cigarette.

"Well everyone has a story" Chris said, while getting up, offering Pony his hand. Pony sighed and grabbed Chris's hand. Chris was surprised about how little Pony weighed. They both got out of the treehouse.

"See you later" Chris yelled

--20 minutes later--

Gordie and Ponyboy where silently walking together, to meet with the rest of the boys. Gordie had a sleeping bag and water canteen, while Pony just had his book Gone With The Wind.

"Right here's cool" Chris said from the truck.

"Hey Chris" Gordie. Chris nodded.

"Thanks a lot!" Chris exclaimed.

"Yeah! Sure thing" the driver replied

"Grodo, Pony" Chris greeted. Pony rolled his eyes. He was technically forced to go, Darry said something about getting fresh air.

"So you wanna see something?" Chris asked, as the three of them walked together, Pony was floating in the back.

"Are you okay" Chris asked Gordie, while looking at Pony, who was trying to read and walk at the same time.

"Yeah I'm fine" Gordie said snapping out of his mode.

"Come on man,Chris said, they both took off running, leaving Ponyboy behind with his book.

"What is it" Gordie asked, as Chris rummaged threw his sleeping bag. Ponyboy slowly walked to them, still trying to read.

"Oh man you gotta see this" Chris replied. As Ponyboy stopped next to them still reading.

"Come on man, what is it?" Gordie Exclaimed.

"You wanna be the Lone Ranger, or the Cisco Kid" Chris said while pulling a pistol out. This got Pony to stop reading and stared at the gun.

"Walkin', talkin', Jesus! Where'd you get this?!" Gordie exclaimed

"Hawked it from my old man's bureau. It's a .45." Chris admitted. Gordie grabbed the gun and aimed it at a trash can, making a fake gun sound.

"You got shells for it!" Gordie asked

"Yeah. Took all that was left in the box. My dad'll think that he used them himself shootin' at beer cans while he was drunk" Gordie claimed, while looking at Pony.

"You shouldn't be playing with that" Pony snapped at Gordie.

"Geez man calm down! Is it loaded?" Gordie asked while aiming.

"Hell no? Who do you think I Am" Chris exclaimed. Gordie cocks the hammer and fires.

KA-BLAM!!!

"Jesus" Chris and Gordie yells, taking off leaving Pony, thank god He was a fast running, Pony thought.

"Gordie did it! Gordie Lachance is shooting up Castle Rock!" Pony heard Chris yell, fallowed by a shut up from Gordie. They both stopped by the shops, and waited for Pony.

"Oh, man! You should have seen your face! Damn, that was cool! That was really fine!" Chris exclaim while laughing his ass off.

"How do you think that was funny you asshole" Ponyboy yelled.

"You knew it was loaded, you wet end! I'm gonna be in trouble now, that Tupper babe saw me!" Gordie angrily yelled..

"Hey man I seriously didn't know" Chris said.

"You pinky swear" Gordie asked..Chris nodded.

"What the hell I told you! You shouldn't play with guns!" Pony yelled, his book in his right hand. Chris was about to reply

"Hey Girls, where you going?"

"Shut up ace" Chris mumbled. Ace smiled and yanked off Gordie's baseball cap off.

"Hey man that's mine! My brother gave that to me" Gordie yelled.

"Oh you found a friend" Ace said, looking at Pony.

"Aww, he reads" Ace exclaimed, grabbing Pony's book.

"Hey give that back, please my friend gave that to me!" Pony pleaded.

"Aww you can just let you friend by you a new one!" Ace replies.

"He can't, he's dead, just please give it to me" Pony said nearly in tears. Ace threw the book on the ground, Pony hurriedly grabbed it.

"Your a real asshole" Chris announced. Ace glared at him

"Oh your brother is not nice, Eyeball" Ace muttered, while he took Chris by the neck and sat on him.

"Come on Ace you're hurting him" Gordie yelled.

"Okay I take it back" Chris yelled.

"See your later girls" Eyeballs said.

"Come on forget about them" Chris muttered. Ponyboy was sitting on the concrete floor looking at the book.

"Come on Pony" Gordie whispered. Pony just stared at the book.

"Pony come on" Chris whispered. Gordie and Chris helped Ponyboy up.

"Let's go Gordie" muttered.

--10 Minutes Later--

"Well, what do we need a pistol anyways? And what's up with him?" Vern asked, pointing to Ponyboy.

It's spooky sleeping out at night in the woods. You might see a bear-or a garbage can, And theirs nothing wrong with Pony" Chris said.

"Well I bought a comb"
Vern said while showing them the comb.

"What do we need a comb for anyways? Chris asked, slightly confused.

"Well if we get on tv we want to look good, don't we?" Vern asked. The three of chuckled.

"That's a lot of thinking Vern" Gordie said. Gordie smiled

"Thanks"

Teddy smiled, while fake punching Vern.

"Two for flinching" Teddy exclaimed, hitting Vern on the shoulder twice.

"How far do you think it's going to be?" Teddy asked, as they all looked down the railroad.

"If we fallow the railroad it should be twenty miles, sound about right Gordie?" Chris asked

"It might even be 30." Gordie said

"Maybe we should just hitchhike" Vern suggested

"No way, that sucks." Teddy replied

"Why not?
We could go out to Route 7|to the Shiloh church......then down the Back Harlow Road. We'll be there by sundown." Vern said

"That's pussy." Teddy grumbled out

"It's a long way." Vern whined out, as they started to walk the railroad.

" Did your mother ever have any kids that lived?"Teddy asked while laughing

"What do you mean?" Vern asked confused.

"Hey Pony come on" Chris said grabbing Pony's shoulder...
