Jessa's POV

I need to prank Zayn before Liam and I's date tonight. I wasn't kidding when I said he should watch his back. It needs to be something good; I should call Louis after their interview! But right now I need to shop! Li said to dress fancy so I am going to buy the perfect outfit for tonight! Hours later, I have looked around in at least eight different stores and I have found nothing! This would be so much easier if I had a friend who knew what these stores had. I was walking down the strip mall as my swollen feet hurt with every step when I arrived upon a fancy store that I couldn't pronounce the name of, this should be perfect! I walked in and immediately saw dresses of my liking. It was like being a kid in a candy shop! There are so many! I basically ran around the whole store and I tried on a whole lot of dresses until I found it, the one! I spun around in the mirror gazing at myself. I never knew I could look this beautiful! Now all I have to do is find the perfect pair of shoes and go to Charming Charlie's for some accessories! Two hours later, I now have my whole outfit ready and I really need to get to the house and take a shower and get ready!

*At house*

"I'm back!" I yelled into the house and dashing upstairs before Liam could catch a glimpse at my dress I hopped into the shower and did the usual. I finished up and stepped out seeing the mirror covered in fog. I dried off and blow dried my hair and curled it letting the curls bounce back to my shoulders with such volume: something my foster sister taught me how to do. Now all I need is to get dressed. I stepped out into the main room where I saw Harry. I froze and then continued in my towel awkwardly to the bed where my dress was set out. "What are you doing in here?" I asked "I wanted to see what you're wearing tonight." I studied his face "That's a lie" "You're right it is but I just wanted to see if you were planning anything for Zayn." I smirked "Love just know that I am, it will be unexpected, and I will never tell any of you what it is until the time comes." "Well then I came here for nothing" "Yes Haz you did now can you please leave I have to get dressed?" "But I like seeing you in a towel" he pouted I walked up to him and motioned him up "Come on, get up, go!" I said slightly laughing as he sighed and left. I got dressed and walked downstairs looking for Liam when I only saw Harry in a fancy suit and bow tie. "Where is everyone?" I asked curious as to where Liam would've gone "They have a meeting with Simon and can't get out of it. Liam told me to tell you he has to reschedule." My face fell, I got all dressed up for nothing and walked around with the baby as extra weight just to find the perfect dress for him, and he stands me up. I could feel my eyes start to water when Harry says "That's why I'm going to take you out instead. We couldn't have you get all dolled up for nothing now could we?" "You'd really do that for me?" "I would do anything for you Jessa." I jumped into his arms and gave him a big hug and whispered in his ear "Thanks Haz" I pulled back "Shall we get going?" "Of course my love! We're taking my car." "Okay!" I skipped to his car having him open my door for me like a gentlemen and was so happy that Harry saved me from the embarrassment of being stood up. I can't believe Liam would have me get all pretty only for him not to show up. He could've at least texted me.

*At restaurant*

"Wow this place is really beautiful!" I said gazing at the silver chandelier hanging overhead "A beautiful place for a beautiful girl." stated Harry and I didn't get the chance to reply as the waiter came to our table "Hello my name is Emily what would you two like to drink?" "I'll have water" I said looking at Emily finding little things I think I've seen somewhere before "And I'll have a Bud Light" "Coming right up...hey aren't you Harry Styles from One Direction?" "Yes and this is my..." "Friend" I butted in needing to see her face and once I did I knew it was her "Jessa Dalone" She turned her head towards me and studied my face "J?" "Em?" I hopped out of my seat and gave my long lost best friend a huge hug. I felt so happy to see her again we squeezed each other until Harry cleared his throat making us pull apart. Tears threatened to spill from my eyes same with Emily's, I could tell. I cleared my throat as well and said "Harry this is my long lost best friend, more like sister but..." I turned to Em "I can't believe it's you! How have you been? I can't believe it the Dangerous Duo is together again!" she laughed and we hugged it out "Dangerous Duo?" asked Harry "We used to play the worst pranks all the time on the other kids in the foster home when we were younger, always getting into trouble." Replied Emily "We really should catch up sometime! You look amazing!" I said to her "Likewise! Hey my boss is staring I'll go get your drinks, we can talk more when I get back." I nodded my head and sat back down "I haven't seen her since I was like 10; I've missed her so much!" "Why don't you invite her over for the night I'm sure you would love to have a girl's night since Eleanor, Perrie, and Holly haven't been around." "Really Haz thank you so much!" We ate dinner and as Em finished up her shift we waited while eating dessert. I took a bite of the chocolate caramel cake as I moaned to the flavor on my taste buds. "You have no idea how sexy that moan just was." Whispered Harry to me as I licked my lips "I'm sorry but this cake is really good, want to try some?" He leaned forward as I took a small piece of cake from the china and brought it to his mouth. He took his bite and slid the fork out of his mouth. "It's okay" "Your just saying that, you know it's amazing!" He contemplated for a second "You're right it is pretty amazing!" Then Emily walked up to us looking uncomfortable and said "If you guys are almost done I would like to get going." I recognized that behavior "Harry, come on let's go" I said rushed taking Em's hand and leading her into the car where I sat in the backseat with her as Harry ran back into the restaurant to get his jacket "Are you still with him?" I asked worried for the answer She nodded her head fear in her eyes Right then there was a tapping at the window and good thing they are tinted, her eyes widened "Get low, you're not here." I whispered as she did what I told her I rolled down the window and saw him, the man who gave us both nightmares as kids, hopefully he wouldn't recognize me. "Yes?" I asked rudely He growled "Have you seen a girl around here she has medium length black curly hair and is short, her name is Emily." "No sorry I haven't seen her." I said rushed as I moved to close the window just as he stuck his hand in the car and grabbed my wrist "What the hell are you doing?!" I shrieked "Do I know you from somewhere?" he asked "No you don't!" I said trying to free my hand as his grip got tighter and I was unable to move my wrist "Pp-please let go." I stuttered in pain where the hell is Harry?! "Jesus Christ it's you isn't it, Jessa, I have a bone to pick with you! Where's Emily?!" "Ross let go of me!" I screamed and Harry came out seeing what was happening "Hey! Let go of her!" he yelled fists clenched coming towards my old foster father Harry punched him square in the face and he face planted on the ground but not before yanking my wrist down making me yell in pain, he was unconscious "Jessa are you okay?!" asked Em and Haz at once "Harry get us out of here!" I yelled as he drove us off to the house
