Chapter 3: Fate Of The Universe

I blinked my eyes open and started coughing. I looked around and saw that I was in a dark cave. "Oww... My head..." I muttered standing up and looking around. "Where am I? Jeffery?" I let my eyes adjust to the darkness so I could see a bit better, but it still wasn't enough to really see where I was going. I walked over to I'm guessing where I fell in and tried to climb up, but it was too steep. "Jeffery!" I tried calling to my lil pig companion. I hope he was alright. I let out a small sigh in defeat and climbed back down realizing there was no way he could hear me, nor would he jump down here.

I went into my inventory and pulled out 6 torches I had with me. I could use these to tell where I've been, and to see where I'm going. I placed one down and started going down one of the three passage ways, where the black shadow swept over me quickly, startling me. I let out a small yelp and ran over to another passage way on the far left but it did again leaving the middle passage open, I yelped again and made a break for it. I ran as fast as I could down the passage trying not to trip and fall on any loose stones, I could hear it chasing me and I didn't think it was nice. I kept running, and soon I saw a light at the end of the cave, I ran towards it and was slightly dumbstruck, and yet amaze at what it was. It almost looked like a machine, with whirring parts, things that blinked and something strange in the middle of it in a container. It was blue and looked really cool. It was behind red glass with red blocks on the left, top and right of it and a yellow block on the bottom. It blinked three times and everything went white.

I started running, and to my amazement I could move, only everything was white, and I had no idea where I was going. Was this a dream? Was this thing showing me this? After running a lil while I stopped and looked around, why was I running if I really wasn't going anywhere. Suddenly something started talking to me in a strange voice, but for some reason in my head it made sense. "Zarr is my name..." It said, it's voice was deep. "I have saved you... Now you must help me... I have risen from a group of symbiotic planets called the Imbris Isles... They are located in your galaxy. On a mission to find the Ferodite Essence I became stranded on your world... Lack of resources had obstructed my capability of returning home. By now I'm sure I am long gone... But it is not too late for you. I have managed to locate and secure the Ferodite Essence. The essence is an entity of extraordinary power, and must be returned to the Imbris Elders. If it were to fall in possession of the Voided the entire Universe would be imperil. I've left it behind a long with schematics to build a space craft. Return to Ferodite Essence... The fate if the universe is in your hands." Everything went white again, and I heard a ticking noise. That was a lot of information to process. When I opened my eyes I was still in the cave with the thing. It spoke again. "Here, take this too... A recorded audio message for my son. Ludim. Bring him the device. He'll know what to do." Hesitantly I walked over and picked up the strange audio device looking thing. I also gathered the Ferodite essence, lastly I grabbed the blueprints. The thing had stopped talking, and I was left to my own thoughts, which I had a lot of but one was on the top of my list. "I gotta find Jeffery." I said, and took off out of the cave.

I moved those items in my inventory and took out my sword, I wandered through the cave avoiding dungeons, and other monsters. I wandered around for a bit till I remembered I also had my pickaxe, I could just mine to different parts of the cave. I put my sword away and replaced it with my pickaxe and began mining a different direction, till I found another cave, but this cave was different. Instead of regular stone it had stone bricks and stairs. I followed them up to the entrance of the cave, where a ruinous city stood. A city... Maybe there were other people! Survivors like me... Just maybe... Or there would be more zombies... Anyway we still had to check it out. My thoughts were interrupted by a familiar oink. I turned around to see my piggy companion sitting on top of the cave entrance. I gave a small smile and climbed up by him, putting his lead back on. I turned back towards the city. That was our next stop.

A/N: hey guys!! I'm not dead! And neither is this story!!! I'm so so sox100 sorry. The reason I haven't been updating is one, I wasn't real sure if Jason was gonna do this series any more so I've been debating for a long time if I should delete the story. But then so many of you started reading and liked it and I thought ok I'll hold out a lil longer and see if Jason posts anymore by Halloween and if not I was gonna delete it.

I don't know if Jason heard me or what but a few days ago he posted part 4!!! Which means that's right guys, this story is back in business! So I hope you guys enjoyed and because I'm laying at home sick I might get started working on part 4 for you guys to say sorry for making you wait so long!

Jason said he was gonna update these a lil more frequently so that means (hopefully) this story will be updated a bit more frequently too. So I really appreciate your guys patience and I'll see you all in the next update! Byyyye!
