No! No! No! What have I done? IDIOT! I covered my mouth and ran. I couldn't let the doves take me in or kill me like they killed Mrs. Fueguchi! I heard someone yell and I just continued to run. I ran back home and I locked my door. I fell to the floor and I tried to catch my breath.

I silently cried and tried to process everything. Mrs. Fueguchi is a ghoul. So are the others at Anteiku. The doves killed Mrs. Fueguchi. And they think Ghouls deserve to die? I'm sure ghouls deserving to die is a tiny bit justified. I mean, we kill humans.... I froze. We...? I shook my head. Of course it sounds weird. I was human not too long ago. But I also understood Ghouls. It's not their fault they're hungry. I'm sure half of them would be happy if they could live normally like humans.

I looked at the clock and realized that a lot of time had passed since then. Moping around sure makes time go by fast. I quickly changed out into different clothing and I heard a knock on the door. I froze. I peered out the window and saw some of the investigators from the site Mrs. Fueguchi was killed. I quickly changed and silently listened, hoping that the investigators would leave. I need to go pick up Amaya in a bit. Can't they just go to the next house or something? I quietly tried to go out the back door and I leaped over the border.

I went to Amaya's school and picked her up. We were close to the home and I noticed that the investigators were still there. Damn it! I looked at Amaya and she gave me a puzzled look.

"Lets go to buy groceries Amaya. I'm sure we need to buy a few things to prepare dinner tonight." I said.

"Are we going to stop by the café Mitsu-Chan?" She asked.

"Uh, well Yoshimura-san had to close the shop early. He had to run some errands today and decided to close the shop all together early today." I said.

No way I was going to tell her that they closed because Himami's mom was murdered by Ghoul Investigators. We went into the store and bought some meat and snacks for Amaya. I bought some coffee and tea. We walked back and I saw the Investigators on the other side of the street. I guess they finally gave up.

We got home and saw that indeed there was no doves. I let out a small sigh of relief and I made food. It was hard trying to eat the food. The very sensation of the food was disgusting, but I slowly got use to it. I would later throw it up when no one was around if it got to that point of disgust.

"Mitsu-Chan! You didn't buy my favorite flavored milk!" Amaya said.

"Hmm? I didn't?" I asked.

Weird. That's one of the last things I would forget when going shopping.

"Alright, alright. I'll go n buy it right now. Don't open the door to anyone Amaya. Is that clear?"

"Yes!"

I ruffled her hair and put on my shoes to go out. The store wasn't very far, so hopefully Amaya is safe at home. I saw some guys in suits business attire chatting away. Not even a second sooner and I sensed something. Next thing I hear someone yell 'Rabb... M-mask?' I looked back at the guys and saw that one was dead on the floor. Another guy had appeared and tried to spar with the person with the mask on.

That speed... That's a ghoul! I also noticed that guy named Amon was there. He's one of the people that killed Mrs. Fueguchi.... Rage was filling inside me. He's the reason I was like this. He's the reason I'm in this hell like state. He's the reason Hinami is without a mother and father. He and that disgusting old man are the reason Innocent people die. They need to be killed. I found myself breathing heavily and my head was pounding.

A scent hit me and I focused back on the scene in front of me. That old coot was fighting with a Quinque and had landed a blow on the rabbit masked ghoul. The ghoul quickly retreated and left. The old coot just laughed. That son of a- No. Calm down Mitsuru. You're not strong. You need to focus on protecting Amaya. Other things can wait. Calm down. You need to look as human as possible. I took deep breaths and went a different route to the store. I got the milk Amaya wanted and quickly headed back home.

The next day, everything seemed to be normal. Despite what had happened, it seemed like no one tried to make it obvious. It was a bit unnerving, but I did my Jon as best I could. I asked Kaneki where Hinami's was and she had been holed up inside her room for a while. I asked to go up there and Kaneki sent me with a cup of coffee. I knocked on the door .

"Hinami? You there? It's me, Mitsuru!"

I heard a faint 'come in' and opened the door. I saw Hinami's with books scattered around her.

This is it. I told myself. Time to see if all of Anteiku has ghouls. Or I'm as good as dead..
