Ch. 8

"So how did it happen?" she asks me as I close the door. So I told her everything.

"So you liked him since the 3rd grade, but your just now dating?" she looks at me and smiles.

I nod. "Yeah" she tackles me into a hug.

"But promise me you will not tell anybody, please" I ask and put my pinky out. She ties hers with mine.

"I pinky promise on all the boys life's" I smile and give her a hug.

"You guys are cute" she says and I smile at her and go to change.

I pick out my ying yang emoji crop top and some black shorts.

"Hey the guys want to go penny boarding, wanna join?" Mahogany asks as I brush my hair. I nod in reply.

"Yeah sure" I say and set my brush down, putting on my yellow vans and following her out. I see Sammy and I smile at him slightly, he gives me a faint smile back and I turn to Gilinksy.

"Hey" I say.

"Hey Natty" a nickname only he can call me.

I smile up at him and he smiles back. 

"So how you been lately" he asks, starting a conversation.

"Good" I nod slowly. "What about you" 

"Same" I nod as we walk into the elevator. I feel a hand brush against mine and I look up at Sammy. I smile at him. We walk out and into the lobby.

"Where is this place anyway?" my brother asks grumpily. I roll my eyes at him and walk out. I start walking up the boardwalk when I feel hands grab my waist. I hit the person and turn around to see Sammy.

"Oh my god, are you ok?" I giggle and help him up.

"I'm good" he laughs and brushes his shirt off.

"So whats up?" I ask as he grabs my hand and we walk down to boardwalk. I look behind me cautiously.

"Don't worry they all went the other way" he says and I nod.

"So tonight, I was wondering if I could maybe take you on a date" he looks over at me curiously as I smile.

"I wouldn't mind that" I say and kiss him on the cheek. We spot a penny board shop and he texts the boys and lets them know as I look at the penny boards.

I feel arms wrap around my hips and I rest my head back.

"What are you gonna get?" I hear Sammy whisper into my ear. I point to a blue and orange tye-dye roses.

"I think that one. What about you?" I ask and he looks around. He finally points to a black green tye-dye one. 

"That one" I grab the one I pick and he does the same. Finally the boys and Mahogany come in and pick theirs. We all pay for them and then we start riding. We soon get separate to get food. I stop in front of an ice cream shop, since I'm all by myself no one will know I skipped actual lunch. I walk in and look around.

"Hey there can I help you today" a boy about my age asks me and winks at me but I ignore it.

"Um yeah, can I get a 2 scoop mint and chocolate" I ask and get out some money.

"Anything for you babe" he flirts and I roll my eyes. As I wait the guy comes up to my table and sits down.

"Um, can I help you" I ask and stand up, and he follows my actions.

"Yeah, maybe with your number" he winks at me.

"Sorry um I'm taken" I say awkwardly and go up to get my ice cream from the lady.
