Mikasa P.O.V

I hummed quietly as I ran the sink water. Lemika was in the crawling stage so I have to keep an extra eye on her.

Levi has been out of the house a lot more it seems and I'm starting to become more and more worried.

"Ewrin needs my help with something."

"Don't worry ackerman I'll be fine."

That's all I hear him say but, I still can't help but worry.

I told Eren...it wasn't the best idea but it helped. He said he would do something but wouldn't tell me what. That I would have to wait and see.

And that's what got me worried even more.

There was a gentle tug on my leg and looked down to see Lemika cheesing brightly. After rinsing off my hands, I picked her up kissing her cheek.

"You wanna help Mommy wash the dishes?" I cooed.

She giggled and began to tug on my shirt. The front door opened and closed.

Levi entered into the kitchen area collapsing in the chair. He looked as if he was filled with exhaustion.

He sighed heavily before laying his head down on the table.
"Levi are you okay?" I asked quietly. I'm not sure why I sounded so shaken but that's how it came out.

He shook his head slowly before sitting up. He looked like he hasn't slept in days.

"Levi please tell me..what's going o-"

"Nothing Mikasa!" He answered quickly.

Yeah sure..you look like everything is perfectly fine! I wanted to say. But I held my tongue and stood quiet.

There sound made was Lemika making gurggling noises.

Instead I just walked out and went to our room.

I laid Lemika on the bed gently before sitting up.

Levi P.O.V

I can't even think straight. How in the hell am I supposed to tell my family?!

This isn't fear I'm feeling, it's concern. Concern as to what the hell eyebrows got planned.

"Nothing Mikasa!" I replied quickly. Too quickly. I would've expected her to slip in a remark but I guess she wasn't in that mood.

Instead I heard her walk out and into the hall. Sometimes she could be full of surprises.

The one thing thatbmade this even more difficult is the image of Mikasa and Lemika when I walked in. How they both looked so precious.

Screw it! I'm tired of losing the people I love! I'm not going to let the same thing happen to my family. I formed a determined look on my face at that thought.

I stood up from my chair and walked toward the family portrait hanging the wall. I looked at how Lemika had perfect features of both Mikasa and me.

Then I heard a crash from the hallway. Turning my head quickly I ran quickly to Lemika room.

Then the lights went out....and another crash.

What the hell?!

"Mikasa?! Lemika?! Are you alright?!" I called out. I placed my hand on the wall feeling my way towards our room.

"Mikasa?" I called.

What the fuck is going on?!

There was a shrill scream from our room. I tried opening the door only to find it locked.

Locked?! Are you fucking kidding me?!

I shoved my shoulder for the third time before finally getting in. When I got it my color was taken away.
