I ended up unpacking the rest of my things and sleeping for the rest of the day and Alana came into our room at 4pm.

"Hey! How was the shops?" I asked as she walked in.

"It was good! You better come next week," she said laughing.

"Yeah that's if I don't get grounded again," I said back and she started laughing.

"What's that?" she said looking at my face, now coming closer.

"What's what?"

"You have a bruise on your cheek!"

"What?!" I asked surprised and ran into the bathroom. There was a bruise on my cheek pretty much just under my eye so it kind of looked like I'd been punched. Shit, that must have been when I fell over when the guard was chasing me! I touched it and I winced in pain; it killed!

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah it must be from when I fell off my bed last night," I lied.

"Aw are you alright? I'll go ask Mr Jones for some ice so that it doesn't get worse," she said and left before I could say anything back. Hopefully he wouldn't come in like last time. I looked again in the mirror and noticed that my shoulders were now peeling from the sunburn, ew!

I'm sunburnt, peeling, have an ugly bruise on my cheek, and I'm in love with someone I know I shouldn't be in love with. Perfect.

I heard the bedroom door open so I left the bathroom to see Mr Jones standing there with an ice pack in his hand.

"Where's Alana?" I asked.

"She went to go get something to eat."

"Oh, okay."

He walked over to the lounge and sat down in the same spot as this morning and deja vu ran through me. I wanted to kiss him again, but I couldn't. I sat next to him but kept my head down so he couldn't see my face.

"Look at me," he said, and I turned my body so that I was facing him but kept my head down. I felt his hand go under my chin and he lifted up so we were looking at each other. His eyes shifted to my cheek and he just stared at it. He then did something unexpected and poked it hard. I yelled in pain and as a first reaction, I slapped him across the face. "You just hit me!" he said, sounding surprised.

"Sorry, it was my reflexes, you shouldn't have poked it!"

"I was just seeing how swollen it was!"

"I don't care! It hurt!"

Just then, Alana walked in with a packet of chips and a bottle of water.

"I could hear you guys arguing from down the corridor!" she said laughing and Mr Jones just chuckled.
