NEVER.
Soon the Sundays turned to weeks. Soon the weeks turned into months.
And with time, my joy turned into frustration.
I wanted a friend who I could hang out with. Who I could go to the park with, and get an ice cream, because, you see, I wasn't alone anymore. I wasn't the one last to be picked for the football team, or the one people whispered about.
And Daffy knew all of this. She understood me, like I didn't think possible for anyone too. No longer can you be a disappointment, when someone looked forward to seeing you.
At first it was fine after our conversation. But then my curiosity returned. I wanted to see for myself what Daffy's house looked like. Well, obviously it wasn't a house...
But what was it then?
Then there was some other emotion I knew so much about, but couldn't put my finger on it.
I wanted to spend every minute of my day with this girl.
No, I wanted to spend every second of my life with her.
Maybe she was just Enchanting me, again.

"When can I see where you live?" I asked politely, looking through my binoculars, as I searched for some interesting creature. I turned them to her, which usually made her giggle, but she stared back stonily.
"You can never see where I live." And she dove off through the murky water. Leaving me standing there stupidly with my binoculars, tears welling up in my eyes.
