Ava's P.O.V

'Don't worry Ava, I'll remember you' was the last thing Newt said to me before going up. We both knew very well that, that was a lie. It's only been 2 days since Newt has gone and I already miss him like hell.

I got news from Mrs Paige (Who's name is also Ava) that some other people will be going up into the maze before me. Which means that I will have to stay away from Newt for longer.

The only person I have left is Skye(played by Skandar Keynes). He is a bit like the brother I never had. Other than Newt, Thomas and Minho he was one of the people that was quite close with me.

We both have this very wierd telepathic thing, we can talk to each other in our heads. I sometimes do it with the others, they can hear me but they can't reply whereas Skye can.

Skye is going to be sent up to the glade after me so until I go, I have him.

But I wonder why I have to be delayed by so many months.

4 months later

I heard a knock at the door and Skye walked in.

'Ava...as cheesy as it sounds I just want to say that, you were like the sister I never had. Even when I'm not physically next to you I will always be with you. I love you Ava'

I feel his hand wipe away the warm tear that had managed to escape my eyes.

' Don't you dare cry. Crying is a sign of weakness and don't let anyone ever think that you are weak because I know that you are stronger than anyone ever can be and at the right moment you will let it out'

I smile at him and he smiles back.

' Thanks Skye, your also like the brother I never had. I will miss you a lot, I wish we didn't have to have that stupid wipe but we don't have a choice, and I will try not to cry and show people that I am weak. I love you Skye' I say wiping away any more tears that had somehow managed to slip.

'I love you too Av-'

The doors burst open revealing a few people with lab coats on.

'Ava Martinez, please could you come with us for your wipe' a white coat said. That's what me and the others called all the people that worked here.

Without giving me time to even nod, two people from behind gripped my arm very tightly and started pulling me toward the door.

'Wait, give me time to say goodbye' I screamed giving it my all in trying to kick the white coats that held me. They didn't reply and just continued to drag me away.

Skye ran up to the white coats and started begging for me to stay for a little while to say good bye. But the white coats pretended that he wasn't even their. Another two white coats that seemed to have just appeared behind me from thin air held Skye down. He was crying and shouting at the white coats.

'Don't cry Skye, it shows weakness!' I shout. He gives me a small nod.

By this time I was out the door. The pearl white doors started to close slowly but not before I saw the horror before my eyes.

Skye was kneeling down looking at me with sorrowful eyes that clearly said ' Don't go'. When one of the white coats grabbed a gun from his pocket and hit the back of Skye's head with the grip of his gun.

I watched in horror as Skye's lifeless body fell to the ground. I started kicking with all my might, tears threatening to spill. But I remembered what Skye had said. Crying is a sign of weakness.

I was placed onto some sort of bed. People with weird masks hovered above me. Black dots started to take over my vision and before I knew it. I blanked out.
