Chapter 9: Stand By You

Cameron's POV:

Dear Diary:
I'm still mad that I damaged my phone! And when I fell I hurt my butt too! Mae asked me if I felt better but I replied saying no. But my mother said I still have to go to school because I need education! I hate when mothers do that!

At school.......

"Ugh, I still can't believe his girlfriend is Sophie's sister!" I complained.

"I know right! Was that awkward?" Mae asked.

"Uh, yeah! Mae stop asking stupid questions!" I snapped at Mae.

"Um Cameron." Mae said.

"What?" I asked. Once I turned around I saw this UGLY boy standing at my locker!

"He is so hot!!" Mae whispered.

"Um Mae, is your eye sight okay?" I asked.

"Yeah why?" She asked.

"Are we looking at the same person?" I asked.

"I don't know, who are you looking at?" Mae asked.

"The dude standing next to my locker." I said.

"Oh, I'm looking at that tall dude talking to the principal." Mae laughed.

"Oh he looks cute, but my eyes are still on Miles." I said.

"You still like him! He's 2 years older then you!" Mae said.

"It's fine, I like my man older and taller." I said.

"Um okay, good to know!" Mae said.

"Well we should probably get to class!" I said looking at my cheep watch! Thanks mom!

"OMG CAMERON HE'S IN OUR FIRST PERIOD CLASS!!!" Mae whispered.

"Yeah, I can tell." I hissed.

"Why are you so moody?" Mae asked.

"Because I haven't spoken to Maya in such a long time! I think she really replaced us!" I said.

"Um Cameron, we already went over this." Mae laughed.

"Um Mae, the dude you like is a teacher!" I laughed.

"Are you serious! I thought I actually had a chance with him!" Mae frowned.

"It's okay, we can probably go to the mall after school." I smiled.

After school...

I invited Maya and Mae to come over but of course that didn't end well...

*group chat*

Maya😔😜❤️:Sorry, Nick is taking me to see a movie! Maybe tomorrow.

Mae😈💁❤:Why is it always you and Nick?

Me: Yeah?

Maya😔😜❤️: I'm sorry, I'll make it up to you!

Me: When?

Maya😔😜❤️: Maybe tomorrow.

Mae😈💁❤️: Maya stop making promises you can't keep!

Maya😔😜❤️: What do you mean?

Mae😈💁❤️: You always say "maybe tomorrow" but when it's tomorrow you always have something to do with that stupid boy Nick!!

Nick🤓: Hey!! I'm in the group chat you know!

*Mae😈💁❤️ removed Nick🤓 from the group chat*

Me: Mae😂😂

Maya😔😜❤️: MAE THAT'S NOT FUNNY!!😑

Mae😈💁❤️: It kind of is😂

Maya😔😜❤️: I thought you guys were my friends.

Me: We are😕!

Mae😈💁❤️: Well I'm not going to be friends with someone who never has time with her friends and who is always with their boyfriend!

Mae😈💁❤️ has left the conversation

Maya😔😜❤️: Can you even believe her?

Me: Well, she's kind of right.

Maya😔😜❤️: Really Cameron, I thought you would've understood!

Me: I do, but you can't always hangout with Nick.

Maya😔😜❤️: I know, I know! I'll make it up to you.

Me: Maya, I don't think you understand. Mae and I have been left out so many times and it's getting annoying. Maya you're one of my best friends, I don't want our  friendship to end so I'm giving you a choice. Nick or Us? Boys can be douchebags sometimes and you always have your friends to help you. So you can choose. Let me know your answer.

Maya:😔😜❤️: I seriously can't believe you Cameron! Of course I choose Nick! Are you crazy!

About two hours later Mae came over so we could talk.

"I'm not surprised she chose Nick." Mae laughed.

"I am, Maya was my best friend! I thought she would come through." I frowned.

"I know, but we always have each other!" Mae smiled.

"Yup, friends forever! Let's not let boys get between us, okay?" I asked.

"I could care less about boys! I'll always stand by you!" Mae held out her hands to give me a bear hug. We decided to watch Once Upon A Time and The Vampire Diaries until we fell asleep.
