I looked up, nervous to meet her eyes. "Hey, Maggie." she sat down beside me.
"So...."
"Mags, I'm so sorry about the other night, something must've seriously been wrong with me. And avoiding you didn't make the situation any better... I miss you." she shrugged.
"I wasn't even that mad, but thanks for the apology. And by the way, Carter woke up." my eyes practically bulged out.
"Seriously?" she nodded.
"But I'm gonna end it with him... You're right, he hurt me." Cameron stood up slowly.
"I'm just gonna go..." he said quietly.
"Sorry Cam..." she mumbled. He shrugged and walked back into the house. "But yeah... When this whole things over, I wanna restart my life, ya know? Leave the 'thug life' and go back to school. Find a guy and just be happy... Is that too much?" I shook my head.
"Not at all! You deserve it... See, I thought me and Cam would be like that but..."
"I'm still rooting for y'all." she said, bluntly. "Just get back together already, everyone wants it to happen."
"It's not that simple—"
"How? You still love him?" I sighed and brushed my fingers through my hair.
"I can't just forget what we had—"
"But do you love him, Jordan? It's yes or no."
"Well.... of course I still love him... But... I can't have him hurt me like that again. I want to trust him and love him and be with him like old times because that's how I liked it but it's hard when... I just don't know if I'm ready..."
Cameron's POV*
I stayed closely behind them but out of sight to hear her words. It hurt that she couldn't trust me anymore but I knew that was the consequence of cheating. The worst thing is... she wants to come back to me. I hurt her and she still wants me back. It only fuels my love for her even more. I sighed and turned away from them, walking back into the house. I need to figure out how to get her back.
Jordan's POV*
"I think you should just go for it." she said, finally. "Take a risk and see where that risk takes you. Chances are, he wants you back and he's willing to work for it. And in my opinion that's great, it means he cares. Say you take him back and he does it again. You have the answer and you don't ever have to fall for him again. But I trust that that will never happen. That you'll get your happily ever after." I smiled at her words.
"Alright... I'll.. I'll try." she smiled in return and stood up.
"Come on, let's do something." she said. I stood up and shrugged.
"Do what?"
"Anything. Just not stay cooped up in this house!" I laughed and nodded.
We walked inside and saw the guys sitting around the counter, talking. "Jennifer Lawrence tops every woman in the world. Hands down. She has the curves and the pretty face." Matt said, smirking.
"Shut up, Matt." Cameron said. "She's not nearly as beautiful as some women—"
"Like who, you baby." Matt grumbled.
"Obviously Jor—" all of them turned their gaze to us as we raised our eyebrows. Cameron awkwardly coughed. "Hey... we were just talking... um..—"
"Jordan says thank you." Maggie replied, smirking. Cameron and I both found ourselves blushing. "Anyways, we need to do something fun today. And ideas?" all the guys shrugged.
"Without Aspyn spotting us.... less likely." Gilinsky said.
"We could have a party." Aaron offered.
"Aaron, you idiot—" Matt tried to say.
"With ourselves, okay? Shoulda let me finish..." Matt rolled his eyes and Aaron chuckled. "Let's just... blast some music, pull out the snacks, and be social with each other. We don't have many options and this one seems the best." I smiled.
"I'd like that." I replied. Cameron smirked and looked over at me.
"Can you make your famous chili?" I raised and eyebrow smirking.
"What famous chili?" Mandy asked, walking in.
"Jordan makes the best spicy chili you'll ever eat and won't even tell you the recipe." Cameron replied.
"It's a family secret!" I said in defense. "I'll make it if Matt has the ingredients. Aaron put the music on, Matt get the snacks, Cam, find a movie."
"Ay, Ay, captain." Matt joked. I rolled my eyes and went for the cabinets.
