***NOTE FROM THE FUTURE ME: okay so I am writing this note way after this book was finished and stuff. And I want to just warn you guys it's very cheesy lol whoops. I started writing this In June of 2015 so it is old and I was young. So if you can suffer through just a bit of cliché, I promise you that about half way through this book and the sequel are much better! I am also older now and I think my writing has improved a lot so the material should be better as well. Have fun reading, I hope you like it! And I always enjoy feedback or even constructive criticism so feel free to comment or inbox me whenever you wish!

Chapter 1

Rosalia's point of view:

I woke up at 6 just like every usual school morning. I absolutely hate waking up early and I absolutely hate school. But thankfully it's Friday so that means tomorrow there is no school and I can sleep in.

I throw my covers off of my body and begin to shiver. Yeah yeah. I know. Who gets cold in the summer you might ask? Well that would be me. I get cold very easily. In the winter time it's much worse. I can't afford to pay the heat bill so I have no heat. I do have cable though.

When I was 9 years old, my parents left me. They completely abandoned me. They left me a little bit of money and the house. But they didnt tell me where they were going.

Flashback:

I was skipping up the sidewalk when I got off the bus. I was so excited! Mommy told me she has a big surprise for me. When I opened the front door I screamed, "IM HOMEEEEE!" But there was no answer.

I set my bag down by the door and walked to the kitchen. There was a note sitting on the counter. I picked it up and it read:

Dear Rosalia:

We are moving. We have had enough of you. You are too much to handle. There is $1000 in your room on your dresser. I advise you to use it wisely.

From: Donna and Mike(a.k.a. My parents)

By the time I finished reading the letter I was pouring tears. My heart was completely broken. How could my own parents do this to me? I thought they loved me.

End of flashback

I am now fifteen years old. I have been living on my own for 6 years. School isn't much better considering I don't have any friends. I've never been one to really fit in.

I now realized I was crying. I wiped away the tears and added a layer of mascara. That's the only makeup I wear. I brushed out my long, wavy, blonde hair and decide to leave it down. I put on a green tank top with a white flowy tank top over and jean shorts. I walked down to the kitchen and looked in the freezer to unfortunately see I'm completely out of waffles. Since there were no waffles, I decided to eat Pringles. Most people would say: who eats Pringles for breakfast? Guilty is charged. I do. Pringles are my favorite food. I only eat the original flavor though. They are the best. I open the can and sit on the stool. I grab the remote and turn on the tv and some boy band shows up. Apparently they are called One Direction. Oh well, whatever. I prefer other artists. I absolutely adore Cher Lloyd!

As I'm sorting through all these thoughts in my head I hear a thump in the backyard. I decide to ignore it. Then, THUMP THUMP THUMP THUMP. Four more thumps?! What in the world. Oh no. What do I do? It could be a freaking robber! I am now currently running in circles in the middle of the kitchen like a chicken with its head cut off. Then all of a sudden a plan hits me. I have a bat in my room under my bed! I run into my room and grab the bat, then run back to the kitchen. I walk to the door and open it, slowly creeping across the porch. Then I see the bush by the fence move. I walk towards it and when I'm right in front, five heads pop out!

My first and natural instinct is to swing. So I do. But there was a catch. A boy with straight hair and a striped shirt catches it. How in the world did he catch it?

But my main thought is why there are five boys standing in my bushes.
