Saved By One Direction

Chapter 38

Rosie's POV:

Harry has been hanging out with Kendall nonstop. Everyone absolutely loves her and thinks she is perfect for Harry. Louis and I however, don't agree. In nice words...well. We hate her. End of story. Nothing nice about it.

Since the boys have a little bit of time off here in California, Harry came up with the stupid idea of going boating. As in renting a boat and going into the ocean. That's a no no for me. Plus he wants to bring Kendall. What a shocker.

Apparently Harry, Kendall, Ed, Selena, Ariana, Taylor, Danielle, Liam, Perrie, Zayn, Niall, Eleanor, and Louis are all coming with us. And I've been told that I have to come or they will drag me onto the boat and then toss me into the ocean.

So, being the idiots they are, decided to take one car. We had to squish 14 people into a 8 seat car.

Of course Harry and Kendall got the front so they weren't squished at all. Then then Louis, Liam, and Zayn were in the middle row with their girlfriends on their laps. In the back, I was sitting on Ed's lap, Ariana was on Niall's, and Selena was on Taylor's. Selena and Taylor kept making kissy faces at eachother though, and let me just say, it was absolutely hilarious.

When we arrived everyone jumped out of the car and ran to the long dock. At the end of it there was a smallish pontoon boat meant for around 10 people. Oh well. We squished into a car, we can squish into a boat. I could see a figure on the boat and when I got to the edge of the dock where land meets water, I could see that Austin was on the boat.

As everyone besides me piled onto the boat I could faintly hear the conversation.

"Why are you here Austin?" Louis said.

"Management told me I had to come in case any paps come."

"That makes no sense, but whatever." Eleanor said as everyone hopped into the boat. By now, everyone is already in the boat and I haven't even stepped onto the dock. Can you blame me though? Every time I am near water, I end up practically dying.

"Are you coming Rosie?" Ed hollered from the boat.

Liam then tried to tell everyone how I am afraid of the water in a hushed voice. He wasn't very hushed though because I could still hear him.

I looked down at the blue water and watched the little ripples. I heard someone say "I will go get her," but I'm not sure who it was.  

I could see the dock rock back and forth out of the corner of my eye as someone heavily walked towards me.

When they got to me, they stood right next to me. I slowly broke my eyes from the water to see who had come for me but I then saw it was Austin.

His arms reached towards me and tried to pick me up, but I smacked them away.

"If you even dare touch me I will punch you again just like I did last time. Except this time it will be even harder." I glared at him.

"Alright go back to the boat Austin" Louis said as he walked towards us.

Austin's cold eyes stayed on me for a few more moments until he turned and left.

"So if I pick you up are you going to punch me to?" Louis chuckled.

I tapped my chin and pretended to be in thought. "Hmm, I guess not. That only goes for Austin."

He laughed and swooped me up. When he stepped onto the dock I began to panic.

"Hey. Listen to me. I will not let ANYTHING happen to you. Just close your eyes." He whispered into my ear.

I shakily nodded an 'okay' and then closed my eyes and put my head against his chest. I could still tell that he was on the dock because  of the gently swaying, but it wasn't as scary now. He climbed into the boat holding me, and when he put me down I was standing in the middle of the boat.

I sat next to Ariana and Selena and we talked for a while until I felt a deep rumbling coming from under me. I look up at the wheel and see Harry standing there trying to turn. He must have started the boat.

I ended up moving more towards the middle of the boat because I wasn't comfortable on the edge but other than that I was fine.

I grabbed a bunch of life jackets and strapped them around myself.  You can never be too safe.

"Rosie, that is so unnecessary Hun." Eleanor giggled.

"You look like an orange marshmallow." Ed laughed.

Their comments made me feel uncomfortable so I slowly took all of the jackets back off and put them in their original place.

Harry pulled to a stop not to far from shore. We could still see it but we were far enough that we couldn't point any certain things out.

"Okay, everyone in." Harry ordered and I stared at him in horror.

"Into the ocean?" I asked and everyone laughed while Harry gave me a 'duh' look.

I stepped past him and went down into the little cubby room where everyone put their bags. I looked around for mine and then started shuffling through it, looking for my sunscreen.

"Hey babe." I heard the door shut and then I felt hands on my waist. Once again, Austin.

"Get off-" I went to smack his hand but this time he grabbed both my wrists and pinned them against the wall, knocking the breath out of me.

"You can't tell me what to do. You embarrassed me and now I'm the one in control. You deserve punishment." He said into my ear and I literally recoiled in disgust. That was revolting. He touched my stomach but immediately stopped when someone started calling for us.

"Don't tell anyone about this or next time it will be 10 times worse." He said and I just stared at him because I was lost for words.

I followed him back up to the deck and saw all of the guys in the water. Austin immediately went to join them while I went to join the girls who were tanning on the roof of the boat.

I put on some tanning oil and then joined their mindless chatter. They were talking about all kinds of random subjects and it was kind of funny to listen to.

After a half and hour, I noticed the sun had disappeared. The clear blue sky was now replaced with dark grey storm clouds but no one had even noticed.

"Guys the sky is getting really dark." I said to the girls.

They all looked up and just as they started to agree with me, the rain started to fall. It didn't even start as a drizzle. It just went from nothing, to a full on downpour.

All the girls started screaming and we got back into the covered boat. The boys quickly swam back in and got back on the boat as it began to rock. We are about 10 minutes from the shoreline but in all honesty, I don't know if this boat can take that much.

Now everyone is falling over. The waves are giant and they are causing the boat to rock up and down-a lot.  I was doing well until a particular wave crashed into the left side of the boat, sending my flying into the right side. My hip slammed into the side but I caught myself before flying over. I looked around frantically but all I saw was Kendall smirking at me.

"I bet you wish you had those life jackets now, don't you?" She said as she kicked me in the leg. I grabbed at my leg and she took it as an opportunity, as she shoved my shoulder and sent me over the side of the boat and into the ocean water.
