*Alice's P.O.V*

The lights behind the glass came on and what I saw behind the glass shocked me. There were five men chained down like animals along the walls. I looked at each one of them. They seemed to be in a trance like state, never taking their eyes off of the floor in front of them. "Who are they," I asked never taking my eyes off of the men. Dr. Wheeler stretched his hand out in front of him like a ring leader would do to introduce the next act. "These are my prized experiments. This is the project that will put me on the map in the scientific community. This is alpha-46. My Monsters." I looked at him and frowned. "Monsters?" Dr. Wheeler smiled and walked over to the door on the far side of the room. "Let me show you." I followed him hesitantly. We walked down a narrow hall that led to a large steel door. Dr. Wheeler punched in an access code on the panel and the door unlocked itself and swung open. On the other side of the door was a white room and a guard's station. The guard behind the desk looked to be in his mid to late forties. He had a scowl on his face as Dr. Wheeler and I made our way up to the desk. "Personal belongs you leave here," grunted the guard. I placed the envelope on the counter while Dr. Wheeler placed his clipboard, phone, beeper, and various pens on the desk. The guard led us through a door next to the desk and opened the door that led into the brightly lit room. The five men still did not move from their positions as we walked in. Dr. Wheeler led me to the first man closest to the door. "This is Subject D-5483." The man was chained to the wall by his wrists. He had short blonde hair that fell in front of his face. He was only wearing dark colored pants. He was muscular and very well-made. "Let's just say he is the ugly duckling of the group," said Dr. Wheeler. He walked over to the next man in the room. "This is Subject TOP." The man looked very tall. He had short black hair. He had a muzzle over the lower half of his face. "Why the muzzle?" Dr. Wheeler chuckled, "Let's just say he likes to bite." The man was in a straitjacket chained to what looked like a dolly. We walked over to the next man. This one looked like a true maniac. He had the reddest hair. It almost looked like it was caked in blood. He had a childlike face, but at any moment it could change into something more dangerous. "This is Subject G-372466." The man was chained like the first man but instead of the restraints being around his wrists, it was around his chest and leg region. I saw a smirk flash over the man's face. Apparently, Dr. Wheeler did too because the next thing I know he slaps the man across the face. He leaned toward the man's ear and whispered, "Next time it's to the electric chair for you." Dr. Wheeler pulled me forward and onto the next person. "This is Subject SOL." The man was sitting on the ground with his legs crossed in front of him. His eyes were closed and his hands rested in his lap. He was being restrained by a collar around his neck. He had a short black Mohawk. He was well built. Like the first man, he too was also shirtless. We finally made our way to the last person. Dr. Wheeler smiled and looked at me. "This one is the youngest out of the five. He is quite the handful. This is Subject V.I." The man stood there staring down at the floor. He had short black hair on the top and the sides were shaved down. He was chained by his wrists to the floor. He, like everyone else, had a blank expression on his face. "They are quite...something," I said. Dr. Wheeler smiled at me and led me back through the door and out to the area where I first met him. "So now that you have seen the men for yourself, what do you say?" I looked at him and then back through the glass. I saw all five of them staring at me. I took a deep breath and looked back at Dr. Wheeler. I nodded my head. "I will accept your offer on a few conditions." Dr. Wheeler smiled, "I expected nothing less."
