Chapter 12

Raven's POV

When I woke up, people were already leaving the airplane. I guess we landed already. I noticed that Johnny's hands were in mine, and that he was asleep. I didn't bother waking him up. I took my iTouch and see if the WIFI is still on, and its turned off. DAMN. I guess I need to wake Johnny now. "Hey Johnny? We are already here. Wake up." He woke up in an instant. "Let's go?" I asked him "I'll just fix my stuff." I waited for him to finish. I fixed my stuff a little too. "I'm done, lets go?" He asked. "Yeah." I said. We stood up and got out of the plane. I texted my mom as we were walking to the baggage claim. 'Mom, I'm in China. Do you want anything here?' I ask her there was an immediate reply. 'I'm not sure yet. Take care.' She said. I didn't reply. When we got to the baggage claim, our bags were the first ones to come out. We took our bags and went to find a cab. "Take us to the Hilton hotel." Johnny said. He said it was the most fanciest hotel in Beijing. I was really impressed how he knew so much about these. I guess he went here before. "Have you been here before?" I asked him. "Actually I was born here, some of my family members live here." He said, I was surprised, he was Chinese? I asked my self. "Were your parents born here?" I asked him, clearly I don't know much about this guy yet. I didn't even know how we became together. I guess we just talked about it and I forgot. "Only my dad. My mom was born in USA but her mother was born in the Philippines, so you can say I'm somehow an Asian." He said, "You don't look Asian." I said. He just smiled. In like 15 minutes we arrived at the Hilton hotel. It was huge, like an ancient palace. I think this was an old palace which was renovated to become a hotel. "So, are you going to the Philippines to visit some of your family members?" I asked him. I wanted to go with him, if he was going. "I'm not sure, but my parents want me to go. Do you wanna come with me?" He asked me. "Sure, but I don't think I don't have enough money." I told him. "Well, I can pay for you." He said, I was surprised he had that kind of money. "Do you have that kind of money on you?" I asked him. I personally don't want anyone to think that I'm a freeloader. I'm not really that kind of person, but I really wanted to go with him. I guess I can pay him when we get back home. "I have a credit card." He said. "Is it okay for your parents to do that?" I asked him. "I think so, its for my girlfriend anyway." He gave me a sweet smile and kissed my forehead. I was not really used to be called someone's girlfriend. I think when we get back to school, everyone will be surprised that Johnny has a girlfriend, especially when his girlfriend is me. People used to tease us when we were like 14. Everyone said that he had a big crush on me back then. I guess his wish came true, that he would have a girlfriend. We were playing truth or dare, I asked what was his biggest wish and he said that he wanted to have a girlfriend. "Thanks babe." I kissed him on the cheek. It was my first time to call him babe, or even call anyone babe. I noticed that he smiled when I said babe. We checked in and headed out to eat some dinner. We left our bags at the hotel and went out.

We called for a taxi, in 10 minutes we got a taxi and went to a restaurant that Johnny said had delicious roasted ducks. I never tasted roasted duck before. I think it's popular here. When we got to the restaurant, there was a very lone line but we didn't wait. Johnny dragged me to the front and said some words and the guy at the entrance let us in. "Dude, what was that?" I asked Johnny. "What?" He asked as if we waited in line. "Uhm.... Why didn't we wait in line? There were a lot of people waiting." I said. "Chill, do you know why we just did that?" He asked me. "You did that, and no. Why?" I asked. "Because I own this restaurant." He said. "You own this? Don't your parents own it?" I said. "Nope, I own this. I didn't get any help from my parents." He said while the lady was escorting us to our table. "Really? When did you start this restaurant?" I ask. "Like a year ago, business was great, there was a lot of people who wanted to eat here." He said. "Cool, it's a good thing your parents agreed that you start up a business." I said to him. "It was their idea, they wanted me to have my own money. So I started this. They said that they don't want to share their money with me." He said. "That's a little harsh." I said, "Yeah well, at least I didn't end up without money." He said to me. For that I kissed him on the cheeks. "Why do you keep doing that?" He asked me, "What?" I asked questioningly. "Kiss me on the cheek, why not on the lips?" He asked sounding childish. "Because!" I said. I was laughing at him. "Some time during this trip, I'm gonna kiss you on the lips." He said. "Really?" I said full of doubt.
